My experiences have been mixed. In the past I had nothing but great experiences.
This March (2020) I contacted Love for an estimate to repair an upstairs bathroom leak which had ruined my kitchen ceiling.
The plumber Love sent out told me he would have to cut out more of the kitchen ceiling (to be fair, it was already ruined) and the cost for the estimate would increase to $235.
I asked the plumber to forward the final estimate to USAA and gave him all of the contacct information.
He refused and said he would only send it to my e-mail address. The estimate consisted of different options...not really helpful as I am not a professional plumber.
My next-door neighbor is very well versed in plumbing and told me that replacing the tub water stems could fix the problem.
I called Love back and they sent out Kris Elkins who fixed the problem...replacing the stems at a very reasonable price. Mr. Elkins was friendly, professional, and efficient.
The reason that I awarded 3 rather than 5 stars is due to the poor service I received during the estimate service call...$235 for three minutes of cutting ceiling drywall, without useful information...and for Love never calling me back after attempts made to communicate with them were unsuccessful.
All I want is most of my estimate service refunded...and I am concerned about not being able to contact Love about this issue. Their website only allows scheduling.

Love's plumbing is price gouging. Don't use them. To fix a kitchen sink leak on a Monday morning. All they did was replace two cut offs under the sink and replace less then 3 feet of 1/2 tubing. $675.00.
I now have some contacts for plumbers in case this happens again. Make sure you do in an emergency. Hate to say something bad about a local business, but supporting and overcharging are two different things.

This is total exploitation I asked Love's Plumbing to come out to drop a faucet to connect a existing gas line which involves screwing one in to the stove and one end into the gas line on a stove and a dryer that's it and change out the little drain screw it out screw back in these people wanted $1,024 to do this I don't know whether they said oh poor black person they are meant to be explored it we all know that this is embarrassing....this is a 45 minute job.... then the plumber is going to explain to me how they're liable for the work and that's why the charges are so expensive as if I don't know what bonded and licensed means...... I am so tired of black people being treated as if they don't deserve better!!!

When the HVAC system that Love Plumbing sold me was under their one-year parts and labor warranty, they ignored my calls to send a technician to figure out why it was not working. I paid almost $1000 to other HVAC companies trying to fix the problem. Diagnosis? The unit Love sold me was too small for my house. There was no ""fixing"" it. Within seven months of paying Love thousands of dollars for a new system, I had to buy yet another HVAC from another company. Tammy Ferris, Love's president, promised to refund my money after they picked up their equipment. Pick up the equipment they did. Pay me, they did not. Now that they have both the equipment AND my money, they use this as leverage to force me to agree to keep quiet about my experience with Love because Ms. Ferris is concerned about her company's reputation. Well, Ms. Ferris, when you bought Gene Love Plumbing, you acquired a company with a well-earned excellent reputation. Good reputations are earned - not bought and paid for by holding a customer's money hostage.

Called them to get an estimate on installing a ceiling fan. They said that they charge $49.95 to come out and give an estimate and the $49.95 would be applied against the service if I went with them. I told her that it was 22 feet high and wanted to make sure they could do that. She said yes and wanted to book an appointment. I told her I hadn't bought the fan yet so I'd call back. She then asked me to go ahead and book a time the next week (I said I could probably get the fan over the weekend) and they would waive the $49.95 charge and just come out and give the estimate free. So I set up the appointment for Tuesday at 1PM. I asked her if I decided to go with them could they install it at that time. She assured me and said they had all the equipment to do so with them.
1PM came and nobody was there. At around 2:30PM or so I got a call from the Love's office saying they were running late. Around 4PM I got a call from the actual technician supposedly coming out and he was wanting to let me know that he probably wouldn't make it today, even if the office was saying he would make it. I told him I figured that and if he could come tomorrow that'd be fine. I had things going in the morning so I said it'd have to be after 1:30 the next day. He warned me that afternoons can get crazy and he could get backlogged. I assumed that if they can't make a call one day and reschedule it to the nest that you would get some kind of priority.
So now it's Wednesday...1:30 comes and goes. No word. 2:30 is Gone. I call the office and they say he'll be coming. Around 4:15 I call the office again and she tells me they are dispatching him right now. He arrived sometime before 5PM....walked into the house, looked at the 22' ceiling and said ""I'm gonna have to have help on this"". It's a two man job. I would've thought that the person scheduling the call would've known that a 22' ceiling is a two man job ( I told her that when I had it installed it was a two man job). So now he says he's going to have to come back tomorrow. I asked him if he could give me a ballpark figure on the cost and he took out his calculator and started putting down part numbers and calculating and gave me a price of $590! He then said ""That's without the discount"". He discounted it down and said the price is $506.
I had called Branham Electric and received a quote over the phone for $295 without even seeing the job, so I told him that I couldn't go with them for that price and that I'd gotten a quote from Branham for $295. He said that was a great price and understood. I had no problem with their technician. He was very friendly and had at least called me on his own to let me know he wouldn't make it in time the previous day.
Don't know how this company makes it, but I was surprised to see the four other reviews that had similar results from the company.
Branham made an appointment with me for 7:45 AM. They showed up this morning at 7:45AM, two guys, 16 foot ladder, installed the fan and removed my old stuff, and were done in 75 minutes. My charge was exactly what they quoted ($295). Recommend you look around before calling Love Electric.

So I had an appointment with both the electrical and the plumbing side. Called on a Saturday around noon. Was told plumber would be there that day by 5:30. At 7:30 I didn't hear anything, so I called and was told they would be out as the first job on Sunday. That got pushed back until 4:30 then push again until Tuesday. Job finally got completed on Thursday and I think we were overcharged.
Electrician showed up on Thursday as well, after initially being told they would be there on Tuesday. Wanted to charge us over $4300 and gave us no alternative options. Got a second opinion and had it fixed for under $175.00 (That is why I feel we got ripped off on the plumbing side).
So poor rating due to multiple missed appointments, poor communication, high rates and over inflated estimates.

I signed up for the Plumbing membership and they were to come out and do an inspection on my house. I scheduled this 3 times and they never came. On each scheduled visit, they did not show, nor did they call to advise.
VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I will never call this company again and I strongly suggest that you don't either. I had a outside faucet break and thank goodness that I had a way to cut the water off at the meter. I called Gene Love plumbing and according to their ad they advertise their services as reasonable. A plumber came out looked at the problem for 90 seconds and said he would go figure an estimate. He charged me 137.00 to look at it (5480.00 dollars an hour, pro-rated) and gave me an estimate of 560.00 to replace the faucet. Needless to say I said no thanks and got someone else. Unless you have water going in your house with no way to turn it off and you can't get anyone else ""DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY""

I have used Gene Love for a variety of projects around the house. I have had absolutely no qualms about continuing to use them for my needs around the house. Furthermore, they have been upfront about pricing, work required, and have been the most professional group I've worked with in a while.

Love repaired our shower incorrectly. This resulted in water running inside our wall for 5 hours with NO response from their 24 hour emergency line (after 5 calls) from Love. The plumber sent to repair the repair the next day stated the job was done incorrectly the day before. Now 3 years later, we have serious repair issues to our shower. It took Love from March 10 to April 21 to provide the correct insurance carrier information so I can file a claim against their insurance. My request process included phone calls, 3 Love techs looking at the damage, multiple emails and a face to face meeting with the Customer Service Manager Mike & Company Master Plumber Bobby. STILL have no results on getting my shower repaired. If I can get this repairs I will not use this company nor recommend to anyone else... TOTAL disappoint with a company that I thought was a reputable firm..STAY AWAY..Wish I could have given negative stars..Ed S
