I hired Loudermilk Construction as a contractor for a large project on my house that included a 260 sq. ft. addition and the whole rear half of my small house was brought down to the studs and the space was reworked and rebuilt. It included a new kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and bedroom. I'm very pleased with the results.
Bob's cost and time estimates were very accurate and he worked with me to help me decide on the best ways to manage costs. I wanted to remain in the house during the project, which adds a lot of complications and complexity to how the work progresses, and Bob didn't hesitate to work with me to make it possible. Bob's crew does excellent work. Since I lived in the house for the duration I can speak to the day-to-day operations and know that the crew takes pride in their work. Importantly, Bob also works with subcontractors whose work is excellent. Bob kept me informed of the schedule, including changes to the schedule, and always responded quickly to me when I reached out. He also kept the project moving when schedules needed to be shifted, which was part of the complexities during the pandemic.
I would recommend Bob Loudermilk without hesitation and would definitely work with him again.

I want to thank Bob for the work Loudermilk Construction has done on my home over the course of more than ten years. I had been very happy with the results. A large part of the stress of remodeling is relieved because Bob patiently runs through the pros and cons of various options with me so I get the functionality that is important to me without paying for options that I don't want. I never feel that Bob is out to sell me something. What he has been is consultative.
Bob's helpful cheerful attitude makes a big difference. I research everything but his patient explanations often add insight to what I already know. Bob has been supportive on my various projects both big and small. His teams that have worked on my home have been courteous and always left my worksite immaculately clean.
My experience with Bob is that he has also been extremely hands-on. He checks in with me frequently and every job he has done for me so far has been completed on-schedule with no loose ends or unfinished work. If this does not sound like the stereotypical contractor experience then Bob is not the typical contractor.

Bob and all his subcontractors are complete professionals. Bob has done a number of projects for us including a large dry rot repair job. Bob is highly dependable, returns call promptly, handles permits, completes jobs with excellence and leaves the job sit immaculate. Quality work from a quality contractor. Can't say enough good things about Bob Loudermilk!

Excellent quality of service from the beginning of planning to completion of our remodeling projects. GREAT communication and follow up! I highly recommend Loudermilk construction.

My kitchen was completely remodeled with new cabinets, lighting, counter, sink, faucet, new flooring, repainted and a new fan installed. I'm completely satisfied with the work done be Bob's workmen. I especially appreciated Bob showing up each morning to discuss the work to be done that day. The job was completed on time and within budget.

When you hire a contractor, what do you want and expect?
A fair price? Coming in at the agreed-upon budget?
Someone who says he or his people will show up at a particular time, and they do?
A person who keeps in regular touch during the job and keeps you, the homeowner, apprised of every thing that is going on?
A crew that is respectful and hard-working?
Creative suggestions from the contractor on how to save time, money, and effort with your project?
Not having to worry or think too much about the job while it is happening because you know someone responsible and knowledgeable is taking good care with it?
If the above matters to you, Bob Loudermilk and his team are the folks to hire.
They did a fine job all around!

Unfortunately, we had an extremely poor experience with Bob and his team. I was out of the country while they were repairing water damage on my rental unit. In one of the upper (unaffected) bedrooms, I had a plethora of personal belongings that I was storing during transition. As I returned home, I found that two of my LED TVs and a very expensive acoustic guitar had been stolen. These items were tucked away in a closet, so not readily visible. Items that were readily visible were not touched. There was also no forced entry into the home.
After asking my neighbors if they saw anything weird, I got a report from my direct next door neighbor that he caught the drywallers from Bob's team in his garage, looking around. When confronted, they said they were looking at the pictures on the wall and they scurried off.
I'm extremely upset about this, and after mentioning the situation to Bob he was very remorseless and threw the notion out of the window.
While I do have an open police report, the case is too small for them to spend any effort on it. I would highly advise against using Bob's team for your next project. His judge of character in his employees cannot be trusted.
That said, the work was okay, but the arrogance and attitude you will experience if there are any problems or a dispute is not worth the risk.

We used Bob to do a major remodel of our home removing two load bearing walls and a complete kitchen remodel. Bob did everything within the time frame he gave us and the quality of work was excellent. I would recommend him for any project.

These guys treat your house as if it is theirs, not yours. Then if you say something, they talk to you with a combination of bragging of how amazing they are, and scolding you. I would not recommend this arrangement to anyone looking for a contractor to work on their house.
