I shopped 6 outdoor lighting companies in the cobb county area before I found Long view. All the companies that send specials in the home books. You know the ones that offer free lights for a low price just to get in the door. Then they quote you triple the price. Then I called some other companies that pay google to pop up first and after 4 in person estimates, 1 guess estimate using pictures of my home and 1 no show. I found John at Long view and wow! He was on time, responsive, respectful, not pushy, upfront with the what he could offer and not only was his price fair, his products were superior in quality and appearance. This will be my go to electric company! I finally found a company that puts the customer first!

I attempted to use this company but in the end they cancelled on me twice the morning they were scheduled to come out.
The first time they were supposed to come out to provide an estimate. The morning of, they contacted me letting me know they had an issue with one of their trucks and needed to reschedule. I understand things happen, but it still seemed like maybe they are lacking staff or overbooked that a truck having issues prevented them from even coming by for 30 minutes sometime that day to provide the estimate.
The second time (we gave them another chance) they were scheduled to actually perform the work and notified us the morning of that they wouldn't be able to make it due to someone in the crew having to attend a funeral. My condolences to that individual but I personally have never found out about a funeral the day of or even the day before. So regardless of the reason, it seemed to me like someone dropped the ball either notifying them or them notifying me prior to the morning of. Either way, the impression I get is they just aren't that reliable given that we've been cancelled on twice with little to no notice.

If they can't even show up for some cable runs, I definitely don't feel comfortable having them do larger projects like a whole home generator.

I originally saw your wife recommend your services on Cherokee Connect on FB. We are building a side garage and were getting quotes for the garage door. Unfortunately, Long View Lighting came in at $6600 for their estimate for a garage door. The other 3 estimates we received ranged from $3800-$4100. Hmmmmm.... I wonder if it was because we live in a nice neighborhood that our estimate was inflated? It's sad to say that this isn't the first time this has happened and we most definitely won't be using your services and have already let our neighborhood know of the inflated slap in our face. Good luck to you but if you continue to do business like this you will most certainly fail. It's extremely unfortunate as we like to support local and always will.

We have used John for new garage doors, a new outlet, electrical wiring update on panel box and just got new recessed lighting in our kitchen and hallway. He is officially our go to for electrical. We are planning even more recessed lighting to be added because it looks so great! Very professional and cleaned up after work. Highly recommend!

Ok so I Set an appointment with LVL. Now understand I am 10hrs away so alot of planning on my part had to be done to take off work (to help do the job) cover room, travel expenses and food. None of this was taken into consideration when I was blown off for him to do another job. Instead of canceling the appointment made, I Was blown off for another job with absolutely no mention of rescheduling. Instead of an apology just received a ton of excuses about how hard hes been working(thought that was the point). I've been friends with the owner for 25 y
ears If he will do that to me he could do it to anyone. Dont waste your time. Completely unprofessional

John is an excellent electrician. He knows what he's doing and it shows. He is also fair and prompt. (hard to find these days.) recommend highly.
