I called these guys because of all the good reviews on here. all I needed was a dryer plug installed. the lady that answered the phone was very polite and friendly, and scheduled me for what I thought was the work (since it's such a simple job), but I learned when the guy got there a few days later, it was only for an estimate . ok fine, whatever. I wait TWO WEEKS for an estimate of $500+. which is about double what I expected, but ok whatever, i just want to use my dryer already. I said ""ok, let's do it asap."" in a text. the reply was ""I'll get back to you with a day I can do it"". that was nearly two months ago. I've already done it myself for about $125, because I'm tired of waiting. and I still never heard from the guy again. sadly, that seems to be quite common with businesses around here. at least any business I've tried to get to do work (or even a simple estimate for work). must just be ""an Alaska thing"" that I'm just too stupid to understand.

I needed a flood light, security cameras, outlet on the outside of my house and a outside light installed. Rick, David and Robert were so wonderful to work with. I was kept informed every step of the way and completely impressed with the final results. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for electrical work.

I called Long Family Electric to get a quote on a transfer switch installed. They came out and within a few days I had a quote for my review. I ended up selecting them to put in the transfet switch. They did a great job and answered some questions for me as they went about installing it. When they were completed with the install, they walked me through transfering my power to generator power and ensured I was comfortable doing it on my own. Will hire Long Family Electric for any future jobs!
