I needed to have some electrical upgrades on a condo in Redwood City that I was renovating to sell and didnt know any electricians who worked on the Peninsula. Then I saw the Lloyd Electric van parked at a neighbors' house in the City and noticed they had a 650 area code ... I gave them a call ... and was very happy with all the electrical work they did. Plus, Jason is a generous and creative person. I asked for his advice on how best to light each of the rooms--and his ideas were excellent. The condo lit up so beautifully that we had open-houses in the evenings just to show off the lighting.

Seemed nice enough, but no follow-through, and then avoidance.

Came out to look at a small job, (nearly an hour late) said it would take him an hour or so, and he'd be in touch; if we didn't hear from him early next week to give him a call--

We waited, no word from him, so we called, left a message, then a few days later, another, then another week goes by, and another two messages. Not only did he not return calls, but after two weeks of trying to reach him, he wasn't even answering the phone!

I file that under totally unprofessional. Not taking calls is one thing, everyone gets busy. Not returning one call, ok, but 5 or 6? Wow. This is often the first step in many contractors or other workers coming in to do other work, so this delay was delaying everyone, and pissing me off.

If you can't do it, then say so--or just say, 'hey, there are a lot of really big jobs out there that I'd rather do, because they're going to pay more."" and I'll go find another, more professional electrician.

Oh, I did that. And when they came out, they did a MUCH more thorough job than the quick eye-balling this guy did, and made SURE to look at the wiring and the rest of the house before saying something was safely possible.

I should have known by the ""oh yeah, yeah, that's no problem, sure sure..."" I kept hearing.

I won't be calling a 6th time.

Great experience with Jason from Lloyd Electric. Jason went out of his way to fix our garage door (which suddenly stopped closing) when he was onsite for a separate job. Saved us time and money - because I didn't have to call in a garage specialist. I am a happy customer.

I can't say enough good things about Jason an Lloyd Electric. He's knowledgeable, practical, hard working, honest, knows how to work to the city codes and is wonderfully friendly.

Jason helped us with a bathroom remodel in an older house. When we got the wall open we discovered a nightmare of knob and tube wiring that was improperly secured with three buried junction boxes and a few bare wires just waiting to ignite something.

Jason work diligently to update the wiring, install a single junction box which was up to code and brought us perfect lighting in the new bathroom complete with dimming switches.

Now that we are moving into a new house we have called on Jason once again to work on our kitchen, a bathroom and a media room. I recommend Jason without reservation or hesitation (unless he's working on a current job for us... Then you can't have him! He's ours! )

Jason of Lloyd Electric was wonderful to work with. He replaced our bathroom fan and the bill came in under the original estimate. He worked quickly, cleanly and most importantly, he communicated clearly. He even patched up the holes in the ceiling, making it easier for us to do the finishing work later (that wasn't even part of the job we hired him to do).

Jason is a very dependable, honest and timely electrician. He does excellent work in a timely manner and is fairly priced. Jason has great communication skills, and very positive attitude. He did a great job installing a flat screen tv and came under his estimate. It was a difficult job because he had to crawl under the house and connect existing dvd and cable boxes under the house to the cabinet on the other wall.
He also came to my rescue when we had a faulty wire and he had to isolate the location and replace it. I highly recommend Jason for any electrical needs.
