Live Oak Electric ROCKS! Ryan and Cliff were the most responsive, reasonably priced electrical contractor out there. I was in need of a quote for running electricity to a new hot tub. Ryan was out the next day to scope the work and responded that night with a very fair quote. They were very flexible with scheduling the job. When performing the work, they took extra steps in making sure the install of the hot tub was not only safe but also looked good. They also installed a new security light for me. I would highly recommend Live Oak Electric!

We just bought a house in the area and the electrical problem list was long. However from the first call to the last piece of electrical work that was done, Cliff, Ryan and there new apprentice exceeded our expectations. Fixed and cleaned up the safety hazards and buttoned up the things that weren't quite to code. Overall made the initial worry of costly electrical work fade on the first meeting. Live Oak was thorough, organized, on time and very reasonable with costs. We will definitely use them in the future. Thank you Live Oak.

Live Oak Electric is simply the best there is! They provided a very timely and accurate estimate for the job and were able to start and complete the work within a few days. Live Oak Electric installed can lights in three bedrooms, lamp switches, fan controls-switches, a closet light and installed a separate circuit for the microwave, solving multiple issues in the kitchen. No small feat given retrofit issues abound. Live Oak put much thought into the project, had the expertise needed for troubleshooting and came with optimal solutions that got the best results. They were always very timely, conscientious and considerate, making sure the customer was in the loop and there were no surprises. And, we were especially pleased with the communication, cleanliness and their concern for minimizing any drywall repairs (none in our job, amazingly due to their excellent work). Hands down, Live Oak Electric provides top value.

These guys are awesome! Professional, prompt, and honest. This father and son duo quoted the best price out of multiple companies and have been worth every penny. I had a vision of major upgrades to my home and they made it happen with the least amount of stress and a friendly, can-do attitude. Do yourself a favor and stop your electrician search right here because Cliff and Ryan are the best.

I wanted to leave a review for Cliff and Ryan at live oak electric. We have a colony home in Atascadero that was built in 1925. It has had two additions done over the years but never had many upgrades for electric.
Cliff and Ryan came in and put in a new service panel as well as a sub panel for the shop and garage. They also assessed and upgraded many areas of need on the rest of the house. In my opinion they did a high quality job in a timely maner as well as coming in at the low end of the estimate. They are also great people that i really injoyed working with.
I would highly recommend them for any of your electrical needs.

As part of our backyard makeover we needed to have three electrical outlets and one switch installed. Normally I get multiple estimates for projects like this but based on previous Yelp reviews for Live Oak and what seemed to be a reasonable proposal I decided to have Ryan do the work.

Here is what impressed me about the Live Oak:

(1) The night before the work was to be done Ryan called to get information about the circuit breakers so he could bring the right parts.

(2) Ryan is hard working and fast. He had to make few trips from the backyard to his truck to get parts. Each time he chose to run rather than ramble.

(3) After about an hour or so Ryan's co-worker Cliff arrived to assist. Cliff is actually Ryan's father and they seemed to work exceptionally well together.

(4) One of the new electrical lines was going to run from an abandoned electrical panel that had originally been installed for a hot-tub 30 years ago. The wiring in the box however was improperly grounded. Ryan and Cliff found a way to quickly and safely remedy the problem to be in compliance with electrical code.

(5) The original proposal was based on estimated time and materials. The actual time was a bit longer (due to the grounding issue) but the materials were a little less. The final bill was just a hair over the original estimate and could be settled on the spot using a credit card.

Overall a job very well done and an electrician that I have no reservation recommending to other.

I had Ryan and Cliff come over to install a new dining room light and replace two outlets in the kitchen. Upon starting work within the kitchen, Ryan discovered that the dishwasher and the garbage disposal were incorrectly wired and unsafely coupled together. Ryan and Cliff gave me two different options as to how to correctly and safely tackle the option of wiring the dishwasher and garbage disposal. They took apart the siding on the outside, correctly installed the wiring and put everything up to code. I am very grateful that they discovered the issue and presented me with two options.

I have used other electricians, however Ryan and Cliff were great, friendly and thorough. In the future if I need electrical work done, I will call Live Oak Electric first.

My salon was in a jam with our lights going out! We called several local electrical companies and they never called back or gave us extremely high quotes. Live Oak called me back within 15 minutes and came by within an hour and a half and had us up and running within an hour! They were extremely professional, had awesome prices and did a great job! Just like it's hard to find a great hairdresser, it's equally difficult to find a good electrician and these guys were awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
