Tony came out and assessed the various electrical issues I was concerned about. He was very helpful and sent a member of his team, Roger, to do the work we agreed upon. Among other things, Roger replaced a broken ceiling fixture in the bathroom Wow! What perfect light this is, warm and bright. He also installed a light in my coat closet. In all the years I have lived in this house there was never any light in the coat closet. Now there is a warm, bright light up high on the wall that operates from a timer switch. It's wonderful what a big difference this will make in my life! I can not say enough about these wonderful people at Lightning Electric. They are polite and friendly, competent and caring. And their work is superb!

Roger is so sharp and dynamic, he found our electrical problem within seconds. Michael is a miracle worker who completes the repairs like a genie with a smile and a lightning speed. (it makes senses with the name of their business! )

Tony is the dynamic and professional owner of the company. It must be his great energy and expertise attracted all of the best electricians in Marin!

We just had Tony Munguía and his Lightning Electric company install complicated lights, switches, and heaters in a funky 120-year-old house with ancient wiring. They had to cut open walls and install second-story exterior conduits. They worked in the attic and under the house. Tony and his crew were incredibly professional, competent, friendly, honest, and thorough. They did what he said they would do, when he said they would do it, and for the price he promised. It's not the cheapest outfit in town, but sometimes you get what you pay for. And Tony is absolutely transparent with all costs.

Hey Yelpers! I just had Tony and his team from Lightning replace the main electric panel to my house in San Rafael. Big job and one that you want a pro to handle. Lightening exceeded all my expectations from a first visit to asses the job specs, accurate quote, scheduling, pulling permits and finally doing the work. On top of that they are really nice guys! This is the second time I have hired Tony and his team. The first time was about 4 years ago when I moved into an old home with a very scary looking old panel. Tony replaced it with a new one and did a number of other jobs at the home. He did an excellent job - he's on-time, professional and just a really nice guy!
This time round, I had him come over to place a new sub panel for our new hot-tub. His employee Mike did most of the work but Tony came with him the day before to discuss the job. He also turned up on the day of work to check how Mike was doing. Mike was really friendly and did a great job. He did make one mistake in putting the wrong kind of cover on an outdoor GFI plug I had requested but came back the next morning and fixed it no problem.
I had gotten a quote from an electrician recommended by our hot tub company but I found that compared to that guy, Tony seemed so much more knowledgeable. He made sure to find the additional spa panel in our garage (that the other electrician never bothered to find) and found out that it needed to be upgraded. His quote was much more detailed and outlined exactly what work would need to be done.
I highly recommend Tony and his crew. Professional, friendly, on-time, knowledgeable. What more could you want?

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude and admiration to Tony, Mike and their crew for helping resolve an issue that quite literally all ""The King's Horses and All the King's Men"" had not found the answer to.

Numerous visits from my ISP and satellite television techs, countless calls and what amounted to hours & hours of time on the phone as my ""case"" was ""escalated"" within their departments could not find the cause to my erratic internet and then no internet connection or ""phantom remote"" streaming of programming to other televisions that were not in my own home when I didn't have internet access!!!

The same day I called Lighting Electric, Mike was able to come out with Luis to give me an estimate to run all new cables. He carefully listened to everything I said to him and proceeded to methodically diagnose what was causing my problem. He went through, one by one, the cables that were in my utility space with Luis at the cable junction box observing. Within 10 minutes, he discovered that I was not connected to my cable connection at the street! There were also several ""misleading"" cables connected that didn't serve any purpose. (There is a backstory/explanation for this that is best left out of my review)

Two days later, Luis and Mario came back out to install all new cables, install ""jacks"", so we could ""hardwire"" all our devices and stay off wifi as much as possible. (We discovered we needed to be as secure as possible with our home network.) They both were very careful and thorough. That same day, Tony came out and completed the installation of our satellite service, working with the tech over the phone. He is one talented guy---has natural aptitude. Tony discovered that our satellite cables were not configured properly which explained a great deal of the ""phantom"" behavior and extra connections I kept seeing.

Tony also gave me a referral who has been a tremendous help in resolving these compromise issues I've been experiencing for over a year. He and Mike both really care, do great work at a fair price, and exercise due diligence.

They both have certainly extended themselves on my behalf, and I will forever be grateful to them for helping me like they have. I have and will use them again too!

If you need anything electrical, call Tony! He is very competent, works fast and is well worth the rate he charges. He changed out a transformer for me and is coming back for more work as soon as my new fixtures arrive. I am a retired property manager, i can size up a vendor in seconds and I assure you - this guy is tops.
