I have a rental property in Milton and since I live in Charleston, I expect to be burned when tenants call for repair needs. I used Lightning Bug a several months ago and while they are pricey for Charleston, were what I expected for anyone near Atlanta. Plus they were informative, helpful, the tenants seemed pleased - well, so was I. So I called them when the same lighting issue resurfaced.

Matt called and explained the normal charges but said he needed to call his manager since they had fixed this earlier. He called later to say that he had examined the problem light switch and found it faulty. He was leaving to pick up a replacement but wanted me to know there would be No Charge.

Thanks Matt! And thanks to his manager who knew I was out-of-state and would never know if they said it was something else. And thanks Anthony (earlier technician) for documenting exactly what you did so they knew it was under warranty.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Lightning Bug for electrical services! Steven V. came to our house and was on time, professional, and courteous. While he gave us several quotes for multiple projects, he was not pushy and took his time explaining each project individually.

We opted for one project, which he did excellently, and we will be calling in the future for other work!

Terrible, dishonest contractor.... About the only thing they are good at is breaking other utility lines: they have busted gas lines and sewer lines and do really shoddy electrical work. Took them two months to connect one mobile home...and the work was so bad we had to have another electrician do it all over again. But I don't think they care because it sounds like they are about to go belly up anyway. AVOID!

In the middle of a COVID-19 existence, we still needed service from an electrician. On Saturday, I contacted Lightning Bug Electric through Yelp, and the owner Becca got back with me immediately. She answered all of our questions, and we set up an appointment for this Monday (today), and she assured me that the electricians would wear masks, gloves, and foot coverings. Two service technicians worked today in our home, and we were both pleased with their protective measures (for them and for us!) as well as with their service. I would highly recommend working with Lightning Bug Electric, and both my husband and I are impressed by their professionalism.

Poor customer service. Had a 12-3 time window and at 2pm I called and confirmed. They confirmed we were good. 45 minutes later I get a call saying he is 30 minutes out. 50 minutes later I get a call about an injury delay and he will be another 40 minutes. Instead of sitting and waiting another 40 minutes to then get a call saying he is stuck in traffic and will be late, I canceled. Lost a days work waiting around and they made no attempt to make it right.

After contacting Lightning Bug Electric I will never use another electrician. They were prompt in responding, arrived on time and were courteous and friendly thru the entire process. The technician, Leo Bosarge, quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem.

So happy I found my go to electricians! First, they have a person that answers the phone; she's friendly, efficient, and helpful! They actually called when the technician was on his way to my house, another plus. Tony arrived and he was the best! He introduced himself, was very nice, and has a cheerful personality. I showed him the problem with the fixture and he got to work. Within minutes he knew what had happened, and showed me. I had him change the fixture out , which he did very quickly and efficiently. He even called me back into the room so I could select the height I wanted it at. It was finished in no time, but he even called me back to see which bulbs I wanted, I had two sets, I picked and he put them in. He did give me his opinion when I asked for it, which is helpful too. Oh, and carrying 10' ladders into your house and up stairs and into rooms, yeah, no problem! Didn't bump a thing; he took great care! All around a great experience, fair prices, and I would recommend to anyone! (I posted this to other review sites too, cause a good company is hard to find. Hope this helps)

After we purchased our home William came out to complete some work listed in our closing agreement with the sellers. A week later, all the power went out in our bedroom only and he courteously came back out to ensure the issue was not a result of any of the work he had done. After an extremely thorough inspection he determined the issue had nothing to do with any of the work he had performed but he gave me a complete explanation of what the issue was and provided me with a couple of different options regarding how to rectify it. He completed the work in a very timely manner and also provided me with extremely helpful information about other issues we should look out for as well as very reasonable estimates for everything. He was knowledgeable and extremely polite which I appreciated. We will definitely be using Lighting Bug in the future and we will most definitely be requesting William for those future repairs.
