As a child, I frequently took apart malfunctioning devices in an attempt to repair them. One time, I took apart a kitchen appliance, unaware that it was still plugged in. I did get shocked, and that moment became a pivotal point in my life. Coming from Florida, I was influenced by my grandfather, an electrician, and my father, a painter. I suppose I inherited the electrical passion from my grandfather and the entrepreneurial spirit from my parents. Having parents in the painting business, I witnessed the dedication required to operate a successful venture. I hope to carry on the legacy of a successful electrical business that honors my grandfather and parents.

While they showed up quickly for the multi-day job, they dragged out the work, and failed to show for several days. Once the job was complete, multiple electrical issues were identified several weeks later, and Lightning Bug refused to come back and fix their faulty work.

This company is 100% amazing and professional.
I recently had some in-house wiring work done (coax cable extension). The tech came out and observed the home and the potential labor. The techs name is Jeremy. After some witty banter and great conversation he revealed himself to be a very approachable and professional technician. He clearly understood my needs and was quoted a fair price. My appointment was scheduled for the following week between 10am - 12pm.
Jeremy arrived promptly and began work. He managed various difficulties the house presented to him with the expertise one would expect. Before long he finished the job. I tested the coaxial line and everything is operational. This entire experience has been fantastic and I even made a friend in Jeremy. I highly recommend this place. Prices are fair and the work is top quality. Trust me - You will not be disappointed in the least.

Tim called me after my review posted. He did apologize for the woman I spoke to not offering to make any accommodations. They honored the Yelp offer and refunded me as if I had purchased the deal. He also explained that their pricing is high due to the insurance they have to carry for their techs and their work. I really appreciate that the company cares enough to read their Yelp reviews and contact me.

Hired them to install several three-way lights. Electrician said, after the second one, that I did not need a three-way light. Had to debate the difference between what was needed and wanted. Like, that's what I hired him to do!

Bar none, the best experience I've ever had with a service professional. James gave us the white glove treatment, was exceptionally thoughtful and informative and did amazing work.
Also, I *love* that they give you a time window for arrival, but then update you with a precise time that day.

Very unprofessional and displays the lowest form of customer service. Attached are screenshots.

I called for an estimate for multiple small projects around a new house including installing ceiling fans, adding outlets and lights in the garage etc. Someone came out within a few days to look over all my projects and provided a full estimate within 15 mins. Estimate was presented separated out by line item so we could decline anything we didn't agree with but all pricing was good. When I originally called I was told it would probably take a few days to actually schedule the work once we approved but they were able to have people out to complete same day. We found some pretty interesting, past owner DIY's that took a lot to fix but the guys stayed until all the items were complete which I'm sure was well past their end of shift. I will definitely call them again for any other electrical project.

I needed a light fixture switched out for another and Lightning Bug was able to get me on the schedule right away. Steve was awesome and got the job done quickly. He also did a courtesy check on my electrical panel to make sure everything was okay before he left. I highly recommend Lightning Bug Electric and will definitely use them in the future!

Hey Eddie, thanks for replying. The property is owned by Circle Property Group. This particular house is located at 2144 Rexford Dr 30034
I appreciate the concern but the job was permitted, passed with flying colors and even included moving the pole from the backside of the house to the side the city wanted it on. Passed first time so no need to worry Ed.
He even patched the walls where a single outlet in the middle of the wall was knocked out empty and two outlets placed on the wall per code. This took place in both bedrooms and living room. Then, of course, the wall above and below the electrical panel.
Not only did Lightning Bug do a crap job that was unable to pass code, but claimed there wasn't enough room in the box when in fact I had six open circuits in a 55 year old panel (that didn't need to be replaced ($1,500) and walked away with over $2,500 in bullshit electricity.
Eddie, I've found that in any building contractor work NOT PERMITTED is always shoddy work. I should've permitted YOUR work Eddie but I couldn't. There's no such thing as a ""kitchen permit"".
Eddie, your guys are either following policy set down by you, or you've got some electricians out of control, or incentivized to keep a percentage of their quotes.
Eddie the house is a tiny 1,000 sqft, 2/1 home. It's impossible to justify $17,000. Just say'n Eddie

Courteous, confident and competent. We needed a quick upgrade to our antiquated and janky attic electrical system prior to an extensive insulation job and LBE saved the day! Bobby was quick to evaluate the situation and suggested needed work to get the attic squared away and in a much safer condition. Esteban and Taylor took on the job a few days later and overcame all the obstacles in their way. They expertly upgraded and repaired my derelict attic system, replacing many old junction boxes and connections, rerouted existing cables and installed new wiring and breakers where needed. We were grateful to have them on the spot when a fault in the system appeared necessitating immediate repair. They stayed an extra 3 hours to ensure the fault was repaired and everything connected to it was good. Esteban and Taylor did some great work and were adamant about not leaving until we were satisfied. Bobby followed up a few days later to ensure all was up to speed for the attic insulation installation. Top notch professionalism and adherence to Covid 19 protocols all around. I will use LBE again for future suggested work and functional upgrades! So glad we called LBE in to get our old home some much needed TLC.
