We had an electrical emergency at our house in capitola when PG&E caused a major outage and power surge. Gabe squeezed us in last minute on a Friday afternoon to get our power back on and was a life saver! Amazing service, professionalism and attitude! He replaced damaged outlets, installed a whole house surge protector and assessed the damage that the surge caused to all our appliances. He worked with our radiant heating service provider and appliance repairman to share his assessment of the damage. We are so happy we found Gabe and will most definitely use him for any other electrical needs that we have!

We had a critical electrical project for our beach house during stormageddon in January 2019. I had not used Lightland before but I took a chance based on the extremely positive reviews. In spite of the rain and the wind Gabe and his crew came right out and did an excellent job in upgrading our electric panels.

I was unable to be present so Gabe sent me photos of the finished job complete with a pristine work area - they are extremely tidy! We handled the entire process electronically which was massively helpful.

We have a few more non-emergency projects needed for the house and we plan to use Lightland Electric again and in the future as our go to electric company.

And, Gabe is VERY friendly and kind.

Gabe & Jared are the Superheros of anything Electric!
I was getting some work done on my stairway and no electrician was ready to come and have a look at the minuscule job that I needed help with at the time. It took just one call and Gabe dropped by the same day and not just did the work, but since it took him all but 10 mins, didn't take any $$ for it. That was back in 2016.

Ever since, Gabe & Jared have worked on multiple projects for me. From installing ceiling fans to updating the electric panel to installing an outlet for my Tesla charger to installing outdoor lighting for the front of the house as well as my backyard to resplice our entire house, they've done it all on time, professionally and on a very strict budget.

What I've come to appreciate about them is No job is too small, they always make time, they're courteous, professional, all at a great price.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I needed help with minor electrical problems in my house. The entire experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth, let alone considerably lighter in the pocketbook. I did not appreciate, when work was slow, that additional people were sent to my house, for billable hours ... we were getting the job done in a timely manner, and the additional help simply stood around and I ended up paying for it. In addition, when an electrician charges you for a part, hands it to you for you to install, and leaves, I seriously begin to question why I even called you.
Secondarily, I did not appreciate be talked to like I'm an idiot, that I couldn't possibly know what they know, and that I don't understand the concept of electricity, I most certainly do, besides having an advance degree in communications.
Reading the posted reviews, I like so many, thought Lightland was good, honest, and willing to go the extra mile, and I bought into their marketing. Completing this review is simply educating the next potential customer of what to be wary of, the potential pitfalls, and to express how much I wish I had selected someone else to do my work.

Gabe is great to work with. I have a rental in Santa Cruz with very old electrical wiring in the garage. Gabe helped to update the system and pass city inspection on a very timely manner, with a reasonable price. The best thing is I got everything done just via calls and texting, Gabe facilitated everything with my tenants, hassle free for me. 5 star and will for sure call him again for anything in the future. I would definitely recommend him to anyone need a licensed electrician.

These guys are great. There knowledge of lighting and design made them so much more than just electricians. It's nice to work with contractors that are genuinely friendly and easy to work with as well as knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone seeking electrical work.

We had an appointment with another electrician who had great reviews. He never showed up and never called, so we contacted Lightland. Jared came out and we were blown away by the level of customer service. He was professional and friendly, but more importantly, he was a darn good electrician. We had him install several lights and ceiling fans, and replace a dimmer switch. The price for all the work was so good. Believe me, we had a few other quotes and none of them came close to Lightland. They are definitely our go-to electrician. It's hard to find good, trustworthy professionals, so when you do find one, you want to let everyone know how awesome they are.

We hired them to resplice our entire house. They were reasonably priced, arrived when scheduled, and were extremely polite. It's difficult sometimes inviting people into your home, but they were considerate and respectful the entire time. They finished sooner than expected and I am very happy with their work.

We had a switch that we hadn't been able to figure out since moving in - but they solved our question and showed us we had a 3-way switch for our living room lamp!

I will be hiring them for all my future electrical needs - and have referred them to many friends!

Called for a job before the holidays and the guy was very nice. He assured me he would contact my well guy for more information and never did. To date I have not heard from him.
