Honest and transparent. He got bogged down on the scheduled work day. We were given notice that he wasn't going to make it. So, he came the next day, cut down the regular price to make up for the delay, and fixed the issue quickly.

Had a couple of electrical issues after lightning struck near the house (ground wire on GFCI was showing ""open ground"") and light issues (flickering). Johnny came out and took care of everything. He even went the extra step and checked everything else was right in the breaker box and took time to explain and show everything he was doing. He was very personable, honest, and helpful. His prices are very fair and when he was running late, he made sure to contact me to let me know beforehand. Very satisfied with his work and would hire again should other issues arise.

SAFETY FIRST!!!! THIS GUY DID NOT TURN THE BRAKER OFF WHILE HE DID THE ELECTRICAL WORK INSIDE THE HOUSE!!! I needed to have some electrical work done in our house ; very basic, changing a light switch and a closet fixture , check the lights in the master bathroom... and an outlet in the laundry room. I contacted them and Johnny Gibs came in the same day in the afternoon, which was good. He changed the switch and the fixture and replaced the outlet in the laundry room. The following what I didn't like and why I would not recommend him:
1) When he gave me the quote , I felt I was at at flea market, haggling for a good price... the work he did took only 20 minutes... and he did not have any standard prices to give me ... he never told me on the phone that he had a minimum of $150... I felt he gave me whatever price he wanted and didn't think it was fair
2) I provided him with a list of all the breakers, so he could turn off the breaker to turn the power off while he was doing the work ... he look at the list and put in aside ....I left the room so he could do his thing... all of the sudden some lights in the rest of the house were flickering.... HE DID NOT TURN THE BRAKER OFF... that's a big NO NO.... I don't care how much of a ""master technician you are"" Safety is first and this guys was not safe!!!

I just used Pearland-based LIGHTHOUSE ELECTRIC for electric service panel replacement and a couple of smaller jobs. I found owner, Master Electrician Johnny Gibbs, to be knowledgable, prompt, efficient and very thorough, and his price was quite reasonable. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. I came home to the power being out in half the house. After checking the fuses, I found Lighthouse Electric on Yelp. Johnny came out immediately, diagnosed the problem, showed me the issues in detail and worked up a very fair quote.

They quickly secured the needed permits, coordinated with the electric company and went to work immediately. Johnny and his team had the repairs completed and my power restored the next day. His team is friendly and highly competent. I will not hesitate to contact Johnny and Lighthouse Electric with all my future electrical needs.
