After reading many positive reviews on yelp, I decided to call Lighthouse Electric and set-up an appointment. I called and left a message on 08/24/17. I waited a couple days and didn't receive a call back. I then thought that maybe yelp had the phone number wrong. I then went to companies website and the number on yelp was correct. While I was on Lighthouse Electric's website, I went to REQUEST SERVICE ONLINE SECTION. I put in my name, email address, phone number and reason for contacting. I never got any reply from this company. All of this happened before Hurricane Harvey just in case people are thinking this happened during or after the hurricane.

Oscar Villegas was the best thing I could have asked for in an electrician. He was kind enough to explain everything that was going on, what he was going to repair, his troubleshooting process, and speak to my dad on the phone to explain the problem. He was courteous and kind enough to hook up a dryer connection that had nothing to do with an electric problem but rather a poor installation. He was flexible in scheduling which I truly appreciated. He gathered his supplies and was able to have everything done in one morning. I will definitely request Oscar again and refer this electrician to my friends and fam!

I can't begin to express how thankful I am for Lighthouse Electric. I would recommend them to anyone. We are in the process of getting our house ready for sale. The painters did something to trip the smoke alarms and it cut electricty to all of the hard wired alarms as well as one of our bedrooms. We couldn't get the power back on at the breaker box. It was a Saturday, after 6pm, but I figured I'd call and try...especially considering the great reviews. I was told they could work me in around 7:30am on Sunday morning for no extra charge, which is amazing in itself. But before setting up the appointment, he asked me to go out to the breaker box. It turns out it was a really easy fix that I was able to do on my own and there was no reason for them to come out.

I can't begin to thank them enough. This process of getting the house ready is so stressful, and Lighthouse Electric helped reduce that stress. It's nice to see a company that really cares!

Called Johnny earlier in the day and received a text saying he was in a meeting. I replied to the text asking about getting my electrical box grounded for a house I just purchased. Johnny called me back within an hour and came out that afternoon with one of his employees. Upon arrival, Jonny and his employee noticed several other issues with my electrical box that the inspector missed (grrrr). Jonny quotes me a good price, went to get so materials and within 45 minutes they were done. Fast, courteous and professional! Will use them again for future jobs and will recommend them to friends!

I really wanted to give them zero stars! I called Lighthouse Electric because of the positive reviews... unfortunately I did not have the same experience. I called early in the week to schedule an appointment on the following Friday morning, he agreed to be at my house between 9:00 and 11:00 am. I guess I should have asked whIch Friday because he never showed up!! I waited all morning and half of the afternoon with nothing... no show and no phone call, nothing!! I guess my job wasn't big enough for him... definitely not good customer service!

If there was more than a five star rating, I would give it to them! They were awesome in every aspect. I called and spoke to the owner... and two guys showed up at my place about an hour later, fixed the problem, and checked out 2 other things that I needed looked at. Both guys were very courteous and polite as well. They were there for about an hour and the service call cost about $150. I HIGHLY recommend lighthouse electric!

I messed up my own electricity on Saturday 1/21/17 by changing out a light switch and not rewiring it properly. I did a Yelp search for Electricians and clicked the ""Open Now"" button, and Lighthouse was the first entry. High ratings, so I called.

When I called, after one ring it rolled to voicemail, but before I lowered my phone I had a text, ""Can't talk now, I'll call you later,"" which is a smart phone option to respond to a call you can't take, so I knew my call had not gone to an office but direct to a technician's phone. I texted back affirmatively, with a brief explanation of what my problem was.

He was upfront in his response, that he had 2 calls ahead of me, but could get to me between 6 and 7 that evening. On a Saturday, mind you. He quoted me $130 for the service call, which I was willing to pay to have electricity in my master bedroom and bath.

Johnny, who turns out to be the proprietor of Lighthouse, arrived just before 7, after texting me 30 minutes prior that he was on his way. He assessed what I had done wrong with the switch almost without looking at it, and rewired it and buttoned everything up - power restored. He finished it in under 15 minutes, and only charged me $75 - basically a show-up fee.

So to sum up - booked a service call entirely via text, he kept me apprised of his schedule, arrived on time, assessed and repaired my issue quickly, and charged me less than I expected.

Who else does that? Overall my experience was excellent. Call Johnny if you have a need.
