They carry 27 Watt light bulbs, that's we were on a scavenger hunt looking for and many places directed us here, the lamp are for is in the bedroom, is iconic & beautiful, but if you need bulbs to replace them, this is the only place we found 27 watt bulbs specifically for that lamp.

We called them and asked, they said the had them, we arrived, and it was a line up of 6 Jewish guys that were like doing stand up behind the counter.

See, being Castilian & Jewish, I started it (so Marty says...okay I did!) with my Yiddish humor mixed with Spanish undertones.

We had so much fun in this place, who knew purchasing a light bulb that is difficult to find could be so much fun.

They have some really cool fixtures at this store too; organized & professional, this place has it all.

Now, it is a little tricky finding this place but, using you navigation devices will solve that problem.

I have never been to a place that met every need for appliances that bring light to rooms and, ambiance lighting fixtures & appliances along with stand up comedy.

You just gotta go just to ask questions, you will end up buying something, that chandelier I bought was a must have, Marty's face is still frozen in OY VEY mode!

I like it, and the chandelier goes in my place & decorum-who knew, such a deal & more was right here in SD on the other side of the shacks, right next to:

I'm a designer and I've been doing business with LBU for years. I've always felt well taken care of and they've been great about answering all of my questions, however I recently learned that they have been marking up the light bulbs I was ordering for a client $20 each (that's $20 more than they are online!) ! I think that's ridiculous! I have emailed and left messages for my sales person and he refuses to call me back. Now I will refuse to do business with him and LBU...and I will gladly take all of my clients with me.

I went here in March 2013 to help me to convert my RV's 12 volt lighting system to LED. The objective was to help me get more life out of the RV's house battery charge.

Not only did LBU have the bulbs (12 volt - bayonet connector), but they had them for far less than anyone else that I found. And they had them in stock.

I also hired them to rewrite the RV's main florescent light with an LED strip. They did it so I could use them old housing and switch. And it came $20 under their estimate.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and easy to work with.

I am a very happy customer. And based on my experience, I would not hesitate to use them again, or recommend them to anyone.

If you are looking for custom hard to find lighting bulbs etc. and need help and support to get your order right, then go here, and if all you other gripy 1 star givers who want the cheapest price, stick to your online shopping, with no service. I have been going here for years, and the service is great. Its foreign to me why these other people were getting bad service, maybe they were being bad customers! : ) Anyway love this place, and I refer tons of people here all the time in my line of work.

This place is terrible. Overpriced, terrible customer service, and faulty products. I went there to get a chandelier for a friends birthday and everything was overpriced. That's just the beginning. I then saw a cool RF controller that I could use for a home project and really wanted one. The assistant was first off rude, and then told me it would be $80. At first I was thinking that is way too high and then he talked me into it that's the cost of quality. I went with it simply for the fact I needed one that day. I take the product home and install it. After many attempts it simply does not work at all!! I take it back thinking I missed something and they were rude to me yet again basically calling me stupid. Then they tried to hook it up and what do you know it still doesnt work. Faulty product. They bring me a new one from the back after too much attitude because I want a new one that works and the ""new one"" doesn't work either. So in the end after much grief, missing my project deadline, and making them sell me the one on display because thats the only one that worked they still made me pay full price!! Even better I looked up the same product from the manufacturer where you can order it from their website and it was only $30..... RIPOFFFFFFFF!

This is one of my favorite stores. It's organized & the inventory is incredible. I've needed pretty specific bulbs over the years and they've always had them in stock. The staff is notably polite, well trained and completely knowledgeable.

My mother has been going ot this store for the past 25 years. She always brings in the package from the last bulb purchased. They gave her a 50 watt bulb instead of a 30 watt. packaging looked the same. My mother is elderly. She put the new bulb in and it blew the transformer. The new transformer cost her $700. The electrician stated the cause was the wrong wattage on bulb. Went to light bulbs unlimited, all they would do was refund the money on the bulb. She was stuck with the bill for the transformer and installation. would not recommend this store to anyone

Like others here, I was astonished at their high prices. I went in for a halogen bulb and was quoted a price more than twice what the same item sold for online. I tried LBU because I didn't want to wait for an online order to arrive, only to discover they don't stock this bulb and would have to order it themselves, which would take 7-10 days. I've been back a couple more times since in search of other bulbs, a dimmer switch and a switch plate cover. In each case I was told this would be a special order and quoted a price far above what the same or a similar item costs online. I understand that a small business needs to make a profit, but a 100%+ markup strikes me as exorbitant.

I had a great experience here. If you need a product immediately (as most of us do, I know I don't stock pile light bulbs), this is the place to go. I went to ace hardware first, then to home depot. Nice people but I needed a store with a better selection and someone on hand to explain why I was having trouble (I walked out of both stores with the wrong product based on the employees ""expertise"").

The gentlemen whom helped me at light bulbs unlimited & lighting solutions (forgot his name, had a south African accent) explained exactly what I needed and why even a slight variation in wattage for this particular type of light bulb renders it useless. I walked out with the correct bulb, installed it, very happy customer here. Great service.

There is expertise here that you get by going in person, online stores can't really compete with that. If you have anything other than generic 60w indoor light bulb, this is the place to go. If not, price everyone out and find the best cheap light bulb source as you may not need any expertise.
