5 stars!!?? What a joke! He's in the segment that tells you he can serve you on your timeline & then sends you a text after 900 pm stating that he can't come til the following week. My advice: find an electrician who does what he says he will do! Silver lining: I never had to see his actual performance.

Lex has done work for me twice in my frame shop (www.marinframes.com). He is professional, approachable, and charges a fair price. I used another company once and was shocked at their over inflated prices. I will only use Lex from now on.

Our home was built in the 40's and still has the original wiring. After doing some DIY to some of our light fixtures I came across a few where the old wiring was fried and the insulation on the wires had crumbled. I called Lex because of the reviews he got on Yelp. Lex did great work at a fair price. We also wanted to get the wiring in place for some pocket lights, but ended up having him install the lights as well.

He really listens to what you want and/or the issues are and makes suggestions as to how to resolve or go about installation. He is a very honest and reliable businessman and will refer him to anyone who needs electrical work done.

Lex is great! I hired Lex to install updated electrical panels, rewire the garage, and take care of many ""smaller"" jobs in my 50 year old home. Actually, I initially hired him for the first two jobs but was so impressed that I hired him for the additional jobs. He not only is well versed in the electrical code but he gave great advice on the best approaches for optimal results. I knew all costs up front and his rates were very good. I highly recommend Lex!

Lex is the guy you've been looking for! He just relocated to Marin a few years ago and it's our gain, the East Bay's loss. He's a one-man shop, which I like; no big anonymous company to deal with. He answers his phone, gives advice before you even meet him, and shows up when he says he will. I have super old house with weird mysterious wiring issues and fixtures that are impossible to replace. He honored my desire to keep an ugly but cool old pull-cord fixture rather than try to redo the whole thing with a box and wiring through the wall and a wall switch. He tells you upfront what he charges, and gives you several solutions to choose from with their price points. And he's super nice to boot. Five stars!

Success!!! I had a fairly long list of electrical problems that needed fixing. Lex had a solution for each one, and his rate was very reasonable. I no longer dread something going wrong with anything electric in the house, because now I know I can call Lex. He is a pleasure to be around.

Lex did a complete re-wiring of our 1905 home before we moved in in August 2011. It was a big job and Lex was great at making suggestions for improvements, yet still being mindful of our budget. He was great to work with and he was very creative and collaborative in finding solutions to some of the oddities that arose due to the age of house and the pre-existing wiring, outlets and access. Lex gave us a very good bid and was upfront with all the costs, unlike some of the other bids we received. Overall a very good experience.
