While Lex Air Conditioning and Heating was incorporated in 2003, our family has been offering expert comfort system repair and excellent customer service in the Dallas/Fort Worth area since the 1980s. We aspire to uphold this tradition of high-quality service for many years ahead.
Cory, along with his brother Anthony, runs Lex Air Conditioning and Heating. Having spent their childhood summers working with their father, they have been involved in the air conditioning industry for most of their lives, saving money for new school clothes. They entered the air conditioning workforce full-time by age 18, now boasting 30 years of combined expertise. Both the DFW metroplex and the air conditioning industry have undergone substantial changes since those early days. However, some things remain constant, like the hot summers in Dallas. Their goal aligns with their father’s: to operate a thriving business by delivering trustworthy and reliable air conditioning and heating services to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, always doing what’s best for their clients.

Buyer beware! Instead of fixing our unit, they told us if needed replacing. Then on top of that, he told me I needed a $15000 unit for a home less than 4500 sq ft which was a lie. That unit was more for a commercial building not a residential home.

Got my unit up and running in no time. Great service, will continue using them in the future.

Great service! Diagnosed my system and gave me repair vs replacement options. Decided to get a new unit because of the great product and warranty that they offer. The Install was also flawless and the system is working great.

Very is disappointed in the service of this company. Poor customer service. Does not seam as though they wanted our business.

Greetings from my home where it is now 92 degrees indoors.
Worst decision I ever made was to use this Trane recommended dealer. They started out great, but took forever to get my first unit installed. I did love the unit though once it was installed, so hired them to replace the second unit in my home a year or so later. Also took forever to finish installing it, but finally was able to use and everything was great until the unit stopped working after seven months. Was under warranty so called Lex back and they sent a guy out on a Saturday which was great, but neglected to tell me that if it wasn't a warranty issue they would charge me an obscene amount for an after hours call. Of course it wasn't covered - said there was ""gunk"" in the condensation line that was my problem, and when he pulled some of it out it looked like brown paper which he said it absolutely wasn't, and refused to listen to me saying ""there was no way that paper could get in there."" I spoke with Rebecca their customer service person, and she said she would look at the photos and call me back the beginning of the week, so I felt like someone was listening to me, but never got a call back. I couldn't get him out of my house fast enough, and sure enough I started having the same problem about three weeks later. I finally got the nerve to call them again because I knew it would be a fight, and when I called again today Rebecca said she would call me right back, and again she didn't. I called back an hour later and she said ""because of past issues"" they were not going to honor their warranty and wouldn't be coming back out. I'm now looking at an over $10,000 mistake, and that's just on the one unit. I'm posting photos of what came out of the line in my air conditioner - see if you think it looks like paper or ""gunk."" I've never known that gunk could be the same thickness throughout, but paper sure is.

It's incredibly disappointing that this company would advise a customer of a window between 3 and 5 when the tech doesn't show up until 5:20pm. Leaving my office at 2:30pm, I wasted my time being here waiting for a tech who showed up after the window given to me. On top of the fact I scheduled a week in advance for this appointment and called at 4pm to make sure I was on the schedule. This is very poor and unacceptable customer service on this company's part. My time is as precious as theirs and their tech's. Please be aware of their poor customer service for potential customers aware of their lack of care or concern for customers as well as their lack of courtesy. I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this company except should be ashamed of your lack of customer service. Get it together.

Zero stars if I was able to. Manager/Anthony is very rude and defensive, I felt like I was being talked down to. I do not understand anything about hvac, therefore I contacted Lex Air. $80 for a diagnostic appointment and the technician doesn't even know where the furnace was located. Honestly, a waste of money and time I took off from work.
They stated it wasn't a repair but was happy enough to remove freon from my system without asking. Now my house temp is still at 79 degrees when it's set at 72, even after replacing the air filters with new ones.
They suggest to replace two things that would cost about $500 as a package but then their technician suggest my unit would only run until summer and would have to replace the whole unit during the winter.
I regret working with this company and giving them my business. They have a guy named Kenny who wants to push me to buy a new AC unit quoting at $7k-$15k for a small house. What????
I'll bring my business else where.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! BEWARE! AVOID this company at all costs! If I could give this company NO STAR, I would.
In the summer of 2017, I purchased a heating/AC maintenance plan ($160), which allows for one heating maintenance checkup and one AC maintenance checkup a year. They came to service me in the summer for my AC checkup. However, NEVER came for the fall for my heating checkup. When I called, I spoke with Rebecca Selbach. She was very rude and condescending. She informed me apparently it is up to the customer to call and schedule for second service. They do NOT give you a courtesy call, reminding you of services you have already prepaid for, nor to schedule you for your second service.
So in Feb 2019, I remembered they never fulfilled the heating maintenance checkup. I called and scheduled. A technician came out, was in my attic (where my AC/heating unit is located) for close to 1 hour and then came down and said ""everything looks good. No recommendations. I just need you to sign this because you owe nothing. You've already paid."" I signed his phone and asked for a receipt and detailed list of what was done today. He said it would be emailed to me.
The next day I had still received nothing. I called the office and spoke with Rebecca, who said the company did not have my email on file and that's why nothing had been sent yet. She would send me the invoice, then call me back. So if I would not have called, nothing would have been sent to me.
Rebecca called me back. I looked over the invoice and noticed in the description, under completion notes it states: checked filter no issues found. I asked why wasn't my air filter changed. She said ""we do not change the air filter, unless the customer asks us to. But the tech checked your air filter and documented that no issues were found."" To which I responded ""the last time my air filter was replaced was when you serviced my home in 2017. So I highly doubt, it did NOT need to be changed, which makes me believe the tech lied and did not check it. This further makes me doubt if he did anything that he said he did while at my home."" She argued with me and said ""well it is your word against his."" She also scolded me and said ""as a homeowner you are supposed to change your air filter yourself and it depends on the cleanliness and allergens in your home on how often you should change your air filter."" I told her ""I understand as a homeowner I am supposed to change my air filter myself. However if I am paying you to service my heating and AC, when you come out and check my air filter and see that it needs to be replaced, you need to change it at the date of service or verbally recommend to me that it needs to be changed because it is dirty. However your company failed to do EITHER of these. You came to my house. Said everything looks good, no recommendations. You lied and documented there were no issues were found with my filter. I need to speak to a manager because if you are telling me an air filter has no issues and does not need to be changed when I am telling you the last time it was changed was in 2017, then I need to speak to someone else."" She told me no managers where in the office at the time but someone would call me back. I did not receive a call that day at all.
The next day someone did call me. I was unavailable and they left a message.
I checked my air filter for myself. Guess what? It was so dirty, I had to rip it out. This company NEVER checked it and they probably did not do ANY of the other services that they documented that they did.
If you argue with your customers, scold them and tell them what they should be doing as homeowners and have no integrity with your work, you should NOT be in business. I know as a homeowner, air filters should be changed ever 3-6 months. However sometimes things get busy, which is why I purchased a heating/AC maintenance plan. But to be treated with such disdain is horrible! What would resolve my issue? A full refund of $160.

I will be reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau!

Lex air has very bad customer service, if you are looking for a quality A/C company may I suggest A-1 Air very professional and does quality work at a fair price.
