Service work - I called Lentz to come out after a tree was down to remove the lighting they had installed a few years before. They charged $600 for two trips - they did not inform me when I called that there would be two trips (and trip charges). They blamed the tree removal guy, didn't communicate, left me with no details, where the line(s) were buried, etc. Quality of work (original installation) was fine, but they use proprietary lighting fixtures - you can't change the bulb, so you have to call them for service. All in all, a bad experience.

They are the only lighting service we've used for over 20 years! They are not the cheapest, but I don't even get a second quote from anyone else. They are responsive, professional, very thorough and prompt.
I never worry about damage or poor results. They never disappoint. Why they aren't 5 Star is beyond me.
If you've had prior work, when they come out for other work or even a quote, they check for other issues and they address them.

I've used Lentz Lighting for several years and have been very pleased with their service! Whether it's just adding some lights to my existing landscaping or coming up with a new plan, they are experts and willing to engage with the customer to find the right solution. David Gee is a great consultant, always friendly and full of ideas, and he's been able to work with my budget even though I'd love to do more! I never hesitate to contact Lentz for my electrical needs and trust them to do the job right. Amanda in the front office is always cheerful and detail-oriented to keep things on track. Wonderful company!!

In 2005 I worked with Greg Ohl at Lentz Lighting on installing 16 ""moon"" downlights in the forest around our home. The result was beautiful and all 16 worked for 12 years. At 15 years, 6 were still working and it was time to update! To my surprise, Greg once again answered the call last fall in 2020 to upgrade to the latest LED technology and add addition lighting for the perfect effect. All total, we now have the 16 down lights and an additional 21 lights highlighting walls and the bamboo forest in our creek. Greg and a Lentz tree expert even came out at night to make sure that every light was positioned perfectly. Lentz electrical services also ran electricity to my shop. As in the past, Lentz provided top notch quality and service! Here's looking forward to another 15 years of a magical night landscape!

Myself and other family members of mine in Dallas have used Lentz for years and they have tried to scam us too many times now. There are many examples of this but most recently I had them come replace some bad light fixtures in my trees that were still under warranty. Multiple employees told me on the phone the fixtures would not cost me anything since they were still under warranty so I agreed to let them come do the work. Then I get the bill and they tried charging me for every light fixture they replaced which was very expensive. I called in and the employee told me I was right and the lights should not have cost anything but that I needed to talk to Paul Lentz since he gave the final approval. That was a joke. First of all, I'm a business owner myself and if a loyal client calls with a complaint then I will do everything I can to right the situation. Not Paul though. He flat out lied to me and told me his employees were wrong and my light fixtures were not covered under the warranty. He was dishonest, unapologetic and unwilling to make things right. I finally told him I refused to pay the bill then he decided he would then try to overcharge me for the labor which again I refused to pay. I would only pay for the actual time the labor was performed which is what I should've been billed for in the first place. The employees of this company have always been great and honest, but unfortunately I can't say the same about their owner Paul. After he got greedy and lied to my father and now to me he has lost all of our future business and we refuse to refer anyone to them. There are plenty of other honest landscape lighting companies in the DFW area. Do yourself a favor and don't use this one.

When the agent came out, we had some issues to deal with as far as how to set up our lighting. He was able to help us work through it and found an even better solution throughout to make everything work much better than the original plan we had discussed. Setup and installation had gone well except for 1 globe that had come in broken which they covered up and left until ordering and replacing upon receiving the new product. After having the lighting for awhile now, I am quite impressed with the installation and glad I found them. I recommend them to anyone needing lighting work done. If quality is what you're looking for they do offer it.

This is a wonderful company who was very responsive to a call to repair a lighting fixture for me. (They called with a cancellation and were able to come out right away). Their representatives were VERY professional and obviously experienced. They remedied my problem in a sort amount of time so I could get on with my day. I highly recommend Lentz. They also designed outdoor lighting for my mother's neighbor's home and it looks amazing, while looking totally natural--like moonlight. They are artists when it comes to outdoor lighting. Two thumbs up!

DO NOT HIRE THEM!! Lentz doesn't know what they are doing.
Outside lighting was wrapped too tight around trees and had to be serviced twice within one month after installation because the plugs disconnected. Less than 15 months after installation, 5 SEPARATE light strands had severed and stopped working because of cheap quality lights, and because they were wrapped too tight around growing trees. Do yourself a favor - buy your own lights and string them yourself. $3,000 is way too much to pay for their ""professional"" service. You'll end up having to pay for labor to replace their cheap products and you'll be paying them year after year to replace their product while they blame you for the breakage. DO NOT HIRE THEM! THEY USE CHEAP LIGHTS AND DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

Have never been able to have them provide services without waiting 1 month or longer. But customer service is good, and onsite techs have always been professional and resolved all issues when they finally did come.

I would not recommend this landscape lighting company. I would hire an electrician that works with landscape lighting. Lentz billing is so high and unreasonable and they don't guarantee their work. Two men came for over 3 hours and I still have the same problem, my lights don't work. Unless you want to see your money go down the drain do not hire this company.
