I highly recommend Lawson & Son. I searched Yelp for a good electrician, and Gabe from Lawson & Son called me and scheduled an appointment on one of our many rainy days. With safety in mind, he needed his partner to help him get the very tall ladder off of the truck in the rain because it would be both heavy and wet, but he came in with another ladder to see if it would be tall enough to change the lightbulbs on our two-story, lofted ceiling while he used an extension pole with a suction on the end. However, these were recessed lights that needed to be pulled out; I had not realized that when I called him about the job. I respect the fact that he took such care with himself since this is his livelihood, and he is the utmost professional. We rescheduled for another day when he could come out with his partner Artie. They did the job yesterday, and what hard workers! Talk about trust! Artie held the ladder as Gabe went to great heights to get each of the lightbulbs replaced with bulbs that will last well beyond my lifespan haha. While changing lightbulbs may seem like an easy job, this was a challenge due to the layout of the recessed lights on the ceiling, and the fact that these light casing needed to be pulled out before the bulb could be changed. When you need an electrician, give Lawson & Son a call. Gabe will do a great job at what I think is a great price.

Gabe was referred by a mutual friend who had previously provided a positive review here. After reading his reviews here I acknowledge that this is an uncommon negative review however it is accurate. I am taking the time to do this because it is warranted and was promised to Gabe. I did pay him more than what he required to do the work because he has done and might continue to need to do work warranty for a mutual friend. He needs to be thankful for referral business, for new customers and he needs not charge extra money because of driving distance or use of a helper unless he declares this upfront. These are easily anticipated costs of doing business and should be a part of his routine daily business practice in estimating and accepting work.
Gabe twice agreed to do work for me the next day at a particular time and for a budgeted and competitive price. I provided him with a picture of what needed to be replaced and a discussion of what the known issue was. Gabe required a person to be at my rental home in order to do the repair. Someone was available for 6 hours - he claimed the job would take only a few. Gabe suggested he might come earlier the day of the repair but ended up showing up at the designated time instead. He parked his van on my grass (neighbors were concerned and took photography and video), made a disassembly at my home and then left unannounced and did not return for hours (tenant was concerned and took photography). He then discovered that he needed more parts and left a second time for an additional hour without any notice. Following this second act of disappearance, the assisting occupant in my rental home left and checked into a hotel considering the work would not be done. (7PM, dark outside and below freezing - I had to eat the hotel cost for a second night in a row) Six hours after initial arrival, Gabe informed me the residential work which involved replacing one shoe box sized sub panel with one 200 AMP breaker and one pair of connecting wires in it was complete (like replacing a single big light switch, similar number of screws and connections) and that the price was 50% more than what he agreed to do the work for. I suggested that I would pay him for what we agreed to and he became dismissive and condescending over text messages. He never once shared any frustration or difficulty with the job while doing it, never expressed any cause for concern or elevated costs while working and never gave me the opportunity to refuse work that would cause me to incur a higher cost. This was all brought to my attention when I did not immediately make an online payment of the discouragingly higher bill. Gabe did deserve to be paid for the work that he did, so when he offered a lesser amount for me to pay I accepted. If he lost money working with me that is his fault. I have willingly paid contractors three times as much money to do similar work in a fraction of the time because they communicated what needed to be done and were up front with me about any changes to our agreement BEFORE they did any further work. They gave me right of refusal - they didn't submit a larger bill over email and then immediately and persistently badger me with text messages to make a payment. I am not certain that there isn't additional repair work to be done but I will seek help from a different electrician. Gabe seems to be an electrician wealthy in knowledge but a poor business person. Communication with Gabe is imperative if you want to be able to justify not paying an inflated bill.

Gabriel showed up on time, with all the equipment needed, and diagnosed the issue in no time. Not only that, but the price was below the estimate given to us. I will DEFINITELY be using them for more jobs.

Lawson & Son was great! Gabe responded to my inquiry right away. He took the time to chat with me about my project and gave me a price estimate online. We scheduled an appointment for him to come look at my project in person to confirm the estimate he gave me. He showed up on time and was very thorough and courteous. The price he gave me on site was the same as he gave me online. Right then and there we scheduled a day for the work to be done. He again showed up on time and knocked out my job in no time. He did a fantastic job and made sure the site was cleaned up before he left. Very professional! I will highly recommend Lawson & Son to all of my family and friends. You best believe I've also saved this business contact info in my phone so I can use them on all my future projects. Job well done! A+++

I was referred to Lawson and Son Electric by my next door neighbor. I called to schedule an appointment and they were able to get to me the same day. They arrived on time as promised. They installed two Ring security cameras and a ceiling fan. The owner was very professional and also provided me with a recommendation on where to place the security cameras. Needed a few electrical items completed to satisfy a Buyer's Inspection. Found this company on Instagram (IG). Reached out via IG and my property was serviced the next day at a reasonable price. Service was very quick. Will use Lawson & Son Electric again.

I would definitely recommend Lawson & Son to other people looking for timely electrical work. I have a sump pump in my crawl space, where my air conditioning unit is also located. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough outlets down there to plug the sump pump and some component of the air unit. I came to Yelp to find an electrician who would be able to install an outlet on Monday (this was Friday). Joel, the Lawson & Son electrician, came on Monday assessed the area and installed the outlet. It probably didn't take longer than 30 minutes. He didn't have a card reader on hand and I didn't have cash, so I had to cash app the money after the job was finish; therefore I don't have a receipt for the transaction except my cash app log. Their website and Yelp says they accept credit cards so I don't think you'll have to worry about it normally.

I found this company on yelp. I contacted them via yelp and Gabriel responded within 30 mins. He provided a Very reasonable estimate for repairing an outlet. This was a very last minute request but Gabriel was able to accommodate us the very next day. He showed up on time and was very professional. Will definitely call this company again when needed
