I would definitely recommend Lawson & Son to other people looking for timely electrical work. I have a sump pump in my crawl space, where my air conditioning unit is also located. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough outlets down there to plug the sump pump and some component of the air unit. I came to Yelp to find an electrician who would be able to install an outlet on Monday (this was Friday). Joel, the Lawson & Son electrician, came on Monday assessed the area and installed the outlet. It probably didn't take longer than 30 minutes. He didn't have a card reader on hand and I didn't have cash, so I had to cash app the money after the job was finish; therefore I don't have a receipt for the transaction except my cash app log. Their website and Yelp says they accept credit cards so I don't think you'll have to worry about it normally.

I found this company on yelp. I contacted them via yelp and Gabriel responded within 30 mins. He provided a Very reasonable estimate for repairing an outlet. This was a very last minute request but Gabriel was able to accommodate us the very next day. He showed up on time and was very professional. Will definitely call this company again when needed

I found Lawson &Son on Yelp. They were very responsive and thorough. We were able to reach a price within an hour of me making contact. They came to my house to hang and relocate 3 ceiling fans. I am very pleased with their work and the price. I will definitely use them again.

Gabe and Steve came on time for our appointment. Although the specific issue did not occur while they were here, they completed a thorough inspection and identified and fixed potential problems. I used Lawson & Son to replace a couple three way switches, a couple of GCFI outlets, a switch for my fireplace, and fix a flickering light fixture. All of this cost $150.

I chose to hire them because they had raving reviews on Yelp and responded the fastest, but I ended up being very disappointed in the job.

1. The crew was over 1.5 hours late. And on top of it all, they got lost getting to my condo community. They went to a completely different community about a half mile away and then complained to me that my name wasn't in the callbox.

2. One of the electricians told me that I had the wrong switch for my fireplace. He told me it needed to match the existing switch, so I ran out to Home Depot. And at Home Depot I was told that the replacement switch that I'd originally purchased would work fine as the staff electrician compared it to the old one. So I went out for no reason. That doesn't instill a lot of confidence that these guys are certified electricians...

3. One of the outlets I had changed was a GCFI outlet next to the sink. When they left, I found pieces of wires and screws in the sink, which would have been disastrous had I not found them before they got caught in my brand new disposal.

4. While the site says they accept credit cards, this crew did not have a credit card reader with them. So I was forced to either pay with cash or Venmo when the job was completed.

Overall, I felt like the crew could have been a little more professional. And after #2 (above) happened, it made me second guess what kind of training/education these guys have had as electricians. I would certainly not hire them again in the future.

After a storm cause a tree to fall on my power lines I had to hire an electrician before Georgia Power would restore my service. I called up several electricians and Gabe was by far the most honest/reasonable with his pricing. On top of that, the weatherhead he repaired looked a lot better than it looked pre-storm. If you're looking for a honest electrician who does great work def give this company a call.
