Called with a question about installing a new A/C in a home that did not previously have one. The girl, didn't get her name, on the phone was very helpful answering all my questions even with the little information I actually had. Scheduled an estimate, Rex came out quickly, answered all my questions, gave me quotes on the spot. They were able to install my new system within a week. Brandon and his crew came out, very professional, answered all my questions, demonstrated how to use the system and told me to call with any questions or concerns stating someone would come out if I had any issues. Excellent service. Couldn't recommend them more highly!! Don't hesitate. Call 'em!

Very disappointed in the service. The first technician came out and said we had a capacitor bad and our coils were dirty the estimate for this service was 600.00it was so hot and he was there so we said go ahead?that didn't fix it.... called them out again the 2nd technician (which was a different guy) said we had a leak in the coil and lost freon and he could put stop leak and put more Freon and the estimate was 800.00 so I asked why the first technician didn't find this issue and I got the well this and that kind of answer (so really no answer) oh and there's no guarantee that this would work at this point I don't trust that they even really know what the problem is... so I had to cut my loss and call a different company out. Come to find out it was a valve and a control board bad and was told that the first technician only cleaned the outer coils not the inside coils. NOT HAPPY AT ALL! What a waste of 600.00 thanks LaVerne and son for nothing also we bought the ac from them and it was supposed to be the best it was a Trane let me just say it's only 12 yrs old so don't waste your money on a Trane ac unit when they only come with a 10 yr warranty just like all the cheaper units!

This company is exceptional. Upon first introduction for a new air condition system the owner (Rex) was super professional and very informative. Gave me all of options and talked through each one, I never felt pressured or felt up-sold. Was able to make an appointment for install the following week. They also offered very helpful financing options. Install of my new unit took two days. Both days the crew was on time and efficient. Super polite and even was careful with closing doors so my indoor critters wouldn't get out. They even laid down plastic along their walking path to protect the flooring from damage.

I will only be using and referring LaVerne & Son for my maintenance and future HVAC needs!

These guys exemplify customer service! Our A/C unit decided to quit Saturday night about 9:30. After doing some quick research and looking at reviews, I narrowed my call list for Monday morning to three different local businesses. One of the businesses said I could leave a number and they would call back when the store opened. Guess what? No call. Scratch that one off the list. LOL.
I called LaVerne and Son's third but decided on them because they had great reviews, they are physically close to our house, and their phone people were friendly, professional, and helpful.
I called soon after they opened and they were able to set us up with a tech between 14:00 and 17:00 the same day...today!
Brenden (our tech) phoned about 30 minutes before arriving and showed up when promised. He started with the obvious, checking the thermostat, blower operation (or lack thereof, in our case), condenser and fan function in the outdoor part, then crawled up into the attic (it's 102 degrees outside, probably over 130 up there) to check the evaporator unit and fan. He diagnosed the issue as a bad capacitor for the blower motor, checked the fan bearings, blower motor current draw, etc to make sure we didn't have any imminent problems around the corner.
It's now just after 17:00, he's packed up and gone, and the A/C unit is blowing cold! You just can't ask for better service than that!

I found LaVerne & Sons on Yelp. They had good reviews, and I needed an electrician to install 2 GFI outlets in our rental property. When I called and explained what I needed, the receptionist was courteous and explained I would save money if I purchased my own GFIs. I scheduled and they came out on time. I received the bill for $255. I called and asked the tenant how long they were there. The tenant explained it took them approximately 30 minutes to install the GFI.
Long story short
They charged $25 per GFI. I take responsibility for that because life got busy and I forgot to buy them. BUT $25 each!!!!
Then $180 charge for labor. When I asked why, they explained they had to go to the store and buy GFIs. I would think GFIs and receptacles would be an item they would keep stocked. Anyways great customer service horrible prices. They weren't willing to forgive the $90 charge for labor in which they were probably driving to Floyd's to buy the GFI that only cost $10 at the most. No thank you... I'll take my business elsewhere.

We were having an electrical issue that needed prompt attention. Unfortunately it was a Saturday and very short notice. I found La Verne & Son on Yelp and saw they were available 24/7.
I called at 9:30am and Christina found someone who would be there between 11-1.
Rex and his son came around 11. The electrical problem was fixed in about 15 minutes.
Very professional company and I will definitely be calling them if I need any more work done in the future.

Our air conditioner from Laverne and Sons has not been working, we can set to 60° and it never drops below 93° in our home. Mind you its been mostly triple digits the last few weeks. Our air conditioner is still under warranty and is plenty big for our small home. So, their first service guy comes out about 4 hours late and tells us he changed the coil outside and that it's fixed. Definitely was not! Called them back, and was told unfortunately they do not do warranty work on the weekends. Second time same service guy, tells us nothing is wrong with it, and we just have ""too much stuff"" in our home. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Definitely don't have too much stuff! My husband then checks and sees that both the indoor and outdoor coils are frozen. We take pictures and call again. I get a call from the office this morning telling me they are sending out a new service guy between 3-5pm, for a new set of eyes, and when I told her ""I thought your guy just gave us a new coil"" she said very snotty ""he replaced a wire and fixed it that's why the coils are freezing"". And here it is 4:17pm and we just received another call stating they are not coming because we need to leave the air off for a full 2 days to defrost the coils. If we run the air we can get the house to 93° , when we leave it off like we did all night and all day today it stays in the triple digits. And now they won't even answer our calls. We have 3 asthmatic people in the home, one of which is an infant, THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT OK. NOT HOW YOU RUN A BUISNESS, OR TAKE CARE OF WARRANTIES! DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

These guys are the best! I called them after having issues with my home warranty contractor and they answered after 7:30pm on a Friday and had someone there to fix it 1st thing the next morning. The tech was very friendly and explained everything. I will never call anyone else for my AC maintenance and repair.
