My 93 year old Dad lost power to half his house. I opened the yellow pages and started calling Electrical Contractors, leaving messages, after figuring out we could not fix this ourselves. Mike returned my call a bit after I had made an appointment with another company. He was courteous, understood the missed opportunity, and said if I had any problems with the other company give him a call. After waiting over an hour the following morning for the other company to show up (I had to call them to find out they would not be coming), I called Mike. In less than an hour Rico was there, and by nightfall the job was done, power restored!
LaGrone Electric provided prompt, professional, courteous service. Rico was great, not only is he skilled and professional, he was very respectful of my Dad and his needs. This is the type of service that is always appreciated and worth of note.
Like others I agree LaGrone charged a fair price, even on New Years Eve (another company had wanted an extra $125 just to show up on Tuesday, the day before, not LaGrone).
In my personal opinion LaGrone has integrity, the most important characteristic for a company providing service to others. When they say something they do it (e.g., when they said we'll call you in 10 minutes, they did; be there in 20 minutes, they were; and when the said it would be fixed by nightfall, it was).
Well done LaGrone Electric (Mike and Rico)!
Highly recommended, I will use and recommend LaGrone to others in the future.

I would highly recommend Lagrone Electric for any general wiring and especially for working on Lutron systems. We had Lagrone Electric trouble shoot some Lutron Homeworks issues, add a new light to the system and reprogram some of the switches. He was clear and fair with his pricing, easy to work with, and extremely knowledgeable. Although he seems very busy, he makes the effort to accommodate your project in a reasonable amount of time , and is reliable once a schedule is set.

I was referred to Lagrone Electric by my someone on my HOA board..Mike was able to meet with me right away and diagnose the problem with my radiant heat. He really knows his stuff and explained the problem. Unfortunately, the only fix is to get a new heater of some kind. He referred me to someone who gave me some choices and I'll go back to Mike to finish the job.
He also did some extra work for me, he checked and tightened a wall socket and even called my home warranty company to tell them the outcome of his diagnostic check..
Nice guy...

I recently moved to San Carlos and as you can imagine, I had a million things that needed to be done, including new circuit installation for my dryer. I found Lagrone Electric on Yelp and contacted them. Mike from Lagrone Electric came in earlier gave a quote, which was far more reasonable than the other quotes I received.
Mike arrived on time this morning, finished the work, looked at a couple of other things that I need to get done, provided a quote and left.
Overall, very good experience. He is punctual, efficient and reasonable and I would definitely hire Mike in the future.

I was referred to LaGrone Electric by a friend and was very pleased with the time that Mike took to address our electrical questions and concerns. We had another contractor tell us that our panel was overloaded and needed to be replaced while Mike was much more reasonable and educated us on the tell-tale signs indicating replacement was required.
He was friendly, timely, and up front in his assessment.

I am a Realtor in the San Ramon Valley and I often have a need for electricians, general contractors, painters etc. I often work with Banks on foreclosed houses. Usually when I need work done I need it NOW, as banks demand quick service. I had an emergency need for an electrician and Michael stepped up and had the problem fixed by the end of day. What a relief.

Actually, the person spent about 3 minutes at my home. The owner of the company must have gotten me mixed up with some other case. What happened is that we called his company and when the worker arrived it turned out that we didn't need him after all. He told me that even though he didn't do anything he'd need to charge me the $90 for the trip. This was unfortunate for me, but I understood that any visit under an hr would be $90. So I paid the bill on time. However, as stated below I made a mistake and paid the wrong amount $56 (on time) -- which was an honest mistake. I then received the totally inappropriate voicemail from the owner. We never discussed the amount whatsoever as I never asked for a discount. I simply called him back and told him it was an honest mistake and I thought it was unprofessional to leave such a hostile vm to a client, especially right off the bat. I then immediately dropped a new check for $90 in the mail and cancelled the old check.

We have radiant heat in our ceiling (yeah, I know we learned that heat rises in elementary school) which is a poor way to heat a living space. We had some faulty electrical work done to install a new programmable thermostat and the radiant heat stopped working in the dead of winter.... in a home with single pane sliding doors in the bedroom. Not good.
Anyhow I rang up Mike from LaGrone and he got down here within a single day and did some troubleshooting. Although it was a challenging job, he somehow made it all come together within one hour and fixed our problem. I'm always impressed when the owner of a company still gets his hands dirty doing jobs like this. He was prompt, efficient, easy to work with and on top of that was very competitively priced on his hourly rate.
What more do you need?

Avoid this company! The owner did a bait and switch on the contract, after I had clearly spelled out the terms I agreed to. He refused to come at night to program the lighting. How does one program lighting in broad day light. He is rude and dishonest. Generally a real pain in the butt.

I was working on a project late in the evening, and happened to drill through a power main in the wall, blowing out a few of my circuit breakers in the process, and shutting down most of my lights and the refrigerator. Fortunately, Lagrone Electric happened to be working close by, and they went out of their way to fix us up that evening. They were exceedingly friendly and professional.
