I used L&R for the installation of a interlock kit, 50amp plug in outlet for my generator and added a main breaker switch at my outside box. L&R quoted me the best bid out of 3 total local electricians and the job was exactly what we needed. They even placed the plug directly next to our Natural gas outlet without charging extra for the custom placement vs just installing it right by the breaker box. Our whole home can now run effectively off our portable Natural Gas generator for the next inevitable winter power outage or summer rolling black outs. L&R is the only electrician I'll ever use again while living here in Kyle.

I hired L&R to hang two chandeliers in my home in October of 2020. Last month, the dining room chandelier unexpectedly fell from the ceiling (fortunately no one was hurt). I called ABC commercial to come out and assess and was told it appeared to not be properly braced to handle the weight of the fixture. I called L&R back and asked them to come assess the issue and potentially re-hang. They told me I would have to pay $625 to have them bring scaffolding or I would have to rent scaffolding and set it up myself given the height of my ceilings. I was told the technicians who hung it no longer work there and this would not be covered under warranty. I was told they would not cover the fix (partially or totally) because it could have been the builders fault installing a box that could not support the weight (although I would have expected the technicians to tell me that when they hung it). I will never use L&R electrical again, obviously. There is no embellishment or false reporting of what happened here.

Our feed from the main line into the house had been severely damaged by a felled tree. L & R was the most reasonable bid among many ridiculously high ones. Louis (the ""L"" in ""L & R"") and his helper came out and repaired the ""riser"" and ""weatherhead"" *while it was raining*!

They then went out of their way to fight the city bureaucracy and Austin Energy to get a quick inspection and a crew that hooked us up that night.

I strongly recommend this very small business (the ""R"" in ""L & R"" is Louis's wife Rosalinda)!

Hired them to fix a wall socket, install a bathroom light/fan, hookup a dishwasher electrically, install a kitchen sink light and will hire them for more. They are professional, timely, knowledgeable and courteous. I highly recommend them.

Honesty, communication, and being fair are three qualities I look for in working with companies to support our rental property, and I'm grateful to have found Luis at L&R Electrical to help us out when our brand-new (February) AC unit broke in the middle of the summer and tripped the breaker. Luis got out there ASAP to assess the situation and offered to help fix the disconnect and ensure that everything was turned back on safely once the replacement AC unit was installed (which happened today).

What makes Luis's support and service stand out a bit more is that once he found out that our AC company repaired the disconnect and made sure everything was fully operational (he spoke with the technician over the phone), Luis called and said that he didn't need to come out (which means he didn't have to charge us $$$ again). Honesty and integrity - super valuable in this world.

I won't hesitate to call L&R for support in the future!

I've used this family company twice now. They are reliable, professional, friendly, and very reasonably priced. What amazes me most, though, is a human being answered the phone at 7 am (weekday) when I expected to leave voicemail, and I had someone at my house by noon the same day. They do emergency work on weekends.

I live in California and was coordinating this last week for a house here in Bastrop .... so I really appreciate Luis and the excellent communication!

I arrived last night, and this morning Paul and Stewart arrived on time bright and early.... and ready to work!

They were really friendly and professional... so I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for a job well done (because as an executive assistant, I deal with alot of vendors, so I always appreciate great service!)
