Do NOT use Kukui Electric. Randal does a poor job starting, doing and completing jobs. We've been in our new house for 3.5 years and our solar stopped producing. When our bill nearly tripled, we called KIUC to see what was happening and they stated that our solar was no longer producing and that we should call the person who installed it. We left Randal SEVERAL messages over the course of 3 months. Our contractor tried to get Randal to come check out our issue several times too. We called a few other solar companies on Kauai and they also said we need to hound our installer to come take care of the issue as it is covered under warranty. After waiting 3+ months and no contact from Randal (and triple electric costs each month) we finally had to call a solar company and inform them that our installer is blowing us off and we need someone to come out and help us. Which is very costly. We had problems with Randal during the initial installation with not following through and finishing the job after he had been paid. He did eventually get us hooked up and producing but 3.5 years later it no longer worked. He also failed to install our tracking of our solar intake so we have never known how much we are producing. It seems that any other solar company on Kauai will do a far better job. Kukui Electric/Randal are a huge disappointment.
