I cannot recommend KST Handyman highly enough. They just completed an extensive, down-to-the-studs remodel of our master bathroom (see photos of ""Lafayette bathroom remodel""), and the results are nothing short of breathtaking. It was amazing to watch how meticulously they went about making sure the surface of every stud along each wall was in a perfect plane, and the floor was perfectly flat and level. Then they significantly upgraded the wiring to make sure it was up to code before starting the installation of the bathroom fixtures. They made sure the ceiling lights were evenly distributed, the tile grout lines all lined up perfectly from the floor to the base boards (which on their recommendation were made of the same tiles as on the floor - a very nice, classy touch), and the caulk lines look like they were done by a skilled surgeon. In other words, the beauty of their work extended far beneath the visible parts of the remodel. Also, every member of their crew, without exception, was very polite, good-natured, and respectful, and they always asked for our input at every decision point. They even helped me with a repair on my car while they were there!

Now that they've finished the master bath, we've called them back for some additional repairs and projects on our house. I almost hesitate to get the word out on KST Handyman by posting this review, because we would like to keep them all to ourselves!

We had a clogged downspout that we needed help cleaning, so we hired KST Handyman through Yelp. Alexei came with another person George to help out with the job.

They were very nice, friendly, and professional. Their English was not that great (by their own admission) so they often used Google Translate on their phone to translate, which actually worked a lot better than I had expected. We were able to communicate with them just fine. They mentioned they were from Russia so if you can speak Russian that would be great.

They wanted to connect their pressure washer to our hose to pressure wash the clogged gutters, but our hose recently broke and thus we didn't have one, so they went out to Home Depot to purchase one for the job. They also got on the roof to manually scoop out a lot of the debris in the gutters. To fix the clogged downspout they removed the gutter from the wall and emptied them and pressure sprayed the inside of the gutter to clear them out. The gutters looked pretty good after they cleaned everything out.

They also readjusted the gutter to fit into the French drain better (it was misaligned from the previous job from another contractor).

We would be happy to call them up again if we had any more house jobs that needed to be done!

KST came out to fix a door that was stuck. The deadbolt wasn't going back into the cartridge. The team came out, tried a few things and finally got the door unjammed and repaired. They were friendly, helpful, and reasonable thru the whole process. Price was great too

We needed to repair our door due to misalignment. For this, we reached out on Yelp and got a speedy reply. It was easy to coordinate a time for the appointment, with clear communication. I sent over a few photos to help, too.

For the appointment, we realized that the door and frame were misaligned in a different way than I initially believed. The resolution was quick and clear options were provided along the way.

Would definitely call again for future work.

I cannot emphasize what a great job KST Handyman's employee Nick did. He arrived promptly, took a quick inventory of parts needed, left & returned in a timely fashion, then completed the job in a safe and efficient manner. In terms of pricing, I was charged exactly what was quoted, not to mention the quote was better than competitive. After I paid and a receipt was provided, I called back with a minor issue that needed to be addressed, and Nick returned promptly and fixed the issue. Didn't get a chance to use him for my fence repair. However he did seem quite reasonable compared to the other service providers that were giving out estimates. Only reason I chose a different company was that I moved from require a partial repair of a gate to a complete replacement of the gate. Which, although he was still reasonably priced, needed to be completed sooner and the business that specialized in fences that came by was able to start immediately. I certainly intent to reach out to this company for potential projects I had in mind just with the fair estimations I felt he provided.

Alex is very responsive and does great work! He helps us with installing a tv onto tile, drilling a hole into our countertop, and more. He can pretty much do anything we need around my shop. He also has reasonable prices! Highly recommend him for any handyman work.

After I complained about the quality of the work, Aleksei (Alex) contacted me privately and committed to fix all the issues I reported to my complete satisfaction. He made himself promptly available and I was able to pick a day at my convenience to have the work redone.

He came over and spent a great deal of time redoing all the caulking and grouting to ensure the final product met my expectations, explaining all the options along the way and making sure I reviewed and approved each stage of the work.

I have to say this was a 180 degree turnaround from my prior experience and I very much appreciated Aleksei's determination to right all wrongs at no additional cost to me. That is the measure of great customer service.

I plan to use KST Handyman again for all future repairs around the house.
