STAY AWAY!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

This is the worst experience I've had with a service provider of any kind in recent memory. He came a couple weeks ago, and I asked if he could fix the garage door. He said yes. He spent several hours trying to fix. He needed a part so he said he needed to go to Home depot to buy it. He did, came back, worked some more and then said he needed to go to home depot AGAIN to get a different part. He worked for a while longer, and then said he had to go. The garage door was not fixed. And he billed me for 4 hours of time including his two useless trips to home depot. Despite all of this, I wanted to give him a chance to finish the job. We scheduled a day to come back 10 days later. I had a hard time getting in touch with him to schedule when he would arrive on the day. He ignored my first text for 3 days. Then we finally scheduled an arrival time. On the day of, he missed the window he was supposed to come in, didn't answer my texts or calls, and then an hour after he was scheduled to come he told me he had to cancel. So, I wasted $400, and two afternoons of my time, two half days off work for NOTHING.

His english is terrible, which makes it difficult to communicate. His skills as a handyman were poor, and the communication was HORRENDOUS. I've had lots of positive experiences with handymen in the past, there are plenty of good ones in LA. DON'T USE THIS ONE!!!!!

Was looking for someone to replace 2 bathroom exhaust fans for us and light replacement in our bathroom and very happy that we came across Alex. Alex was easy to work with, had fair pricing, and did a great job with the project that included electrical work, installation of the exhausts fans/light, and drywall patching [our old units were much larger than the new ones]. He was very professional and we are keeping him in our contacts for future projects. Thank you, Alex!

He was able to help us the day I contacted him and my tenant said ""He was very professional, he swapped it with a new one, identical to the previous model and it works. I just used Alex to fix a broken pocket door, which as many may know can be a pain when something goes wrong inside of the drywall. Alex responded quickly with very reasonable prices, and did a great job in fixing the door. He explained the work that he would have to do in a straightforward manner, which included opening up the drywall and installing stronger screws so that the track would be less likely to detach in the future. He also came back to touch up the frame when my wife requested a specific look that she wanted.

In all, Alex is professional, courteous, straightforward, flexible, and very responsive. We are very happy with the work that he performed, and would definitely use him again for all types of home improvement work.

The one thing that I would mention is that Alex is very good in communicating in English, but may be a tad limited over text (but not in a way that is unclear). I only mention this so that anyone considering his services doesn't hold it against him when obtaining a quote; he is very responsive, and once you begin to engage with him, he will get into detail for your specific situation, and will quickly build comfort on how he will address it in a reasonable and straightforward fashion. Highly recommended!
