Disappointed. I called for a small electrical lighting project in my Woodland Home. There was no response after leaving several messages. Based on a lack of response I cannot recommend Knightworks.

Rewired my whole house and worked with me to get the important things addressed. I don't think another larger company would have the experience and knowledge of these old houses in central Davis. It took a while but Steve is in high demand and the pandemic has really increased business. He knows his stuff and is a pleasure to work with.

We recently converted from a gas stove to an electric, despite not having a outlet. Steve wired the kitchen for the right outlet and capped and sealed the gas, but also took care to communicate with us at each step of the process, took care of all the permits, moved the stove into place and tested it, and left everything cleaner than when we started. Last weekend, when we had a mysterious electrical problem, Steve talked me through fixing the problem over the phone for no charge.

We'll be calling Knightworks for anything electric as long as he's in town, and can't recommend them highly enough.

Good electrician, but very unreliable about appointments and work completion. He did a good bit of work on my house, installing ceiling fans and putting a new panel in. But it took over two months and several no shows to get everything done.

The receptionist is rude. Called today to see if they had anyone available to come look at the ceiling light since it is not working. She told me they have no emergency appointments available. I then asked when was the next available and she sounded very irritated and said they do not have anything for a month and hung up on me. So rude!

I ran into Steve in front of my son's school and asked him about an issue we were having with out hot tub. He spent 20 minutes talking with me for free! He was concerned about the issue and offered a great amount of help and knowledge. I am eager to have him come out and take a look at the problem as soon as his schedule allows.

My A/C broke down last week in the middle of the heat wave. After multiple attempts to get assistance with a defective circuit breaker, I called Knightworks Electric shortly after 5 pm. I am fairly certain Steve had just gotten home after a long day--he sounded tired on the phone. After hearing my sad, hot story of A/C woe (91* F in the house!), he gave a deep sigh and told me he would be there in 15 minutes. To make a long story short, he replaced my circuit breaker in less than 15 minutes, and my A/C was up and running for a very reasonable price! When I thanked him for being so kind on such short notice, he answered sincerely that without customers his business would not be successful and he appreciated my call.

I would NEVER recommend this yahoo. AVOID. AVOID, AVOID. Knight of Knighswork. He over charged me by at least $1000. He wrote a work order that only he could understand and would not redo it so I could understand what I was paying for. I ""just had to trust him."" He charged me for work he never did. He had a friend of his in a PG&E shirt come by to say what a great guy he is. He had me take off work (many times) to meet him at prearranged times, and he may show up 4 hours later or not at all! On top of that he was condescending and mean. Too bad there are no MINUS STAR ratings.

They should receive less than one star for the action they have done to small customer. I called them to setup a ceiling fan installation back in February and they say they are backed up till mid March. I agreed to the time line and waited for a month for the appointment. On the day of the installation, they called after their appointment time to tell us that they cannot make it to the appointment. Furthermore, they refuse to reschedule the appointment and tell us to call someone else. COME ON.... if you want to pull this stunt, DON'T MAKE PEOPLE WAIT FOR YOUR MONTH LONG APPOINTMENT, at least have to curtest to call ahead to apologize. This sort of shady business practice is not acceptable and that tells you the quality of their business!!!
