As a family-run business, Knighten Electric offers comprehensive electrical contracting with more than 20 years of expertise in the Lowcountry region of SC.
Oree Knighten began his journey in the electrical field around 25 years ago, building his skills in home, industrial, and industrial environments.
Prior to relocating to South Carolina, he served as an electrical superintendent at a salt mine in Louisiana for 11 years.
He managed the electrical program, created safety protocols, designed programmable logic controls, and led a crew.
Wanting to become self-employed and prioritize family time, he relocated with his family to the Lowcountry to launch Knighten Electric.
Amanda and Oree Knighten are the proud owners of Knighten Electric.
With a background in communications and sales, Amanda enhances the construction sector in South Carolina.
Oree has dedicated over 24 years to the electrical field.
Oree started his journey by gaining hands-on experience through residential and commercial service calls while participating in a five-year electrical training program.
He advanced his career in diverse commercial and industrial settings, such as a paper mill, a nuclear power plant, and a salt mine.
He moved into project management, gaining insights into the importance of staying on budget and meeting deadlines.
Prior to his move to SC, Oree was the Electrical Superintendent at a salt mine, where he expanded his knowledge of programmable logic controls.
Upon exploring the Bluffton/Hilton Head area, the Knightens felt it was the right moment for a change and to embark on their journey of self-employment in a different state.
