My development hired Kirkwood electric to do all of the changing of the lights outside of our townhomes. After they completed the job. My outside lights didn't work. It worked the day before they changed the light the day after it did not. I contacted them they sent someone out and wanted to charge me $800 to run a new wire to that light that doesn't work anymore. It only stands to reason that if it worked the day before they came, and then it didn't work the day after then they must have done something to, the wire, possibly even broke it in the wall. I tried to resolve this with them they're ignoring my emails they don't even belong to the Better Business Bureau. I would never hired them.

I called them because I needed to have the sign of our business name repaired. The sign was installed years ago when the business first opened. I spoke with Greg, the service manager. At first, he assumed the sign was part of a marquee that included several business signs and he said that fixing it would be no problem. I told him that it wasn't part of a marquee, but rather attached to the building and that it was right above our front door. Again, he said there would be no problem in fixing it. The price was going to be $160 for the first hour, which included the trip charge. When 2 techs arrived, one climbed into the space of the building that is behind the light while the other waited. After a few minutes, the tech came down and said the sign was neon not LED. They couldn't fix it because they do not deal with neon. They said I should call a sign company, not an electrician. I told the tech that I should have been informed of this at the time I made the appointment. He agreed. Had I been informed, I would have researched sign companies instead of making an appointment with an electrician, obviously. When making the appointment, Greg never asked questions to determine what type of light we had or could have had. In fact, no questions were asked at all. So an invoice was written for me and, stupidly, I wrote a check for $160. I then called Greg and told him that he should have asked me questions to determine exactly what type of sign we had. I told him that even if we couldn't figure it out, I would have at least known that if I made an appointment, there would be a chance they wouldn't be able to fix it. His response was, ""Sorry"" and that was the end of the conversation. There was no effort to make good on the situation that was clearly his fault. I, as a non-expert of storefront lights, do not know what questions to ask. He, being the expert, should have asked me questions about the light. He should have also mentioned they do not repair neon. So, I lost $60. I will not be using Kirkwood Electric in the future and I'll make it a point to tell people why. I have contacts at a local home builder and I know they often hire out electricians. It's hard to find help and even harder to find good help. Maybe this company should consider a new service manager.

Your company is in a state of confusion Michelle who answers the phone wants to talk more than listen to the customer, She blew off an appointment with us for electric work for the second time I would never recommend anyone using your company.

We decided to update our kitchen and replace all cabinets. We had a microwave to move along with the outlets for the garbage disposal and accessories. This was about 3 hours of work in all. I think Joe did a fantastic job and was very professional. I would certainly use this company again!
