I would avoid this company. Its officially been 2 months and the still havent updated my quote after i paid them to come and take a look at our place for some lighting work. If you want to be out 150 dollars and out of patience tho, maybe this is the company for you.

Since the owner has been so kind to respond, i guess ill tell the long story. 4 hours of phone calls and work and somehow i still dont have a quote for all the work described. even after most of the phone calls were follow ups aboit the project if they were interested, information they asked for, and if they were ever going to fix their initial quote which they somehow ""missed"" some of the work that was asked to be included. Aside from that, i think the really insulting part is telling us that they would come take a look really quick after a job at no cost and i happily agreed since it waa going to be free, sf is not easy to get around, and theres no particular time frame were looking to get this done. So i cancelled meeting last minute and gave them a 3 hour time frame in which i was available. They showed up 2 hours and 20 minutes in, and needed an hour, so i had to cancel even more meetings for this. Then they proceeded to knock drywall off because they ""just had to show me the color on this recessed light"" and i watched the dude pick up the dry wall from the ground and put it back in the ceiling. Then later they sent me a bill for 150 dollars even though they said they wouldnt.
So this review and experience really wasnt about the money, this is about your poor business practice.

Had an absolutely phenomenal experience with Kinetic. They helped me quickly find the problem with my circuit breakers, found the fastest fix that saved me the most money, and taught me some thing along the way to be a little more self-sufficient in the future. They'll absolutely be my first call whenever the next problem arises. Can't recommend them highly enough

If YELP had a 10 star rating system, I would extend Kinetic Lighting & Electricity an absolute 10! David & Michael arrived on time as scheduled, assessed the electrical work to be done, explained it in detail, then set off by preparing the work site so as to protect my furniture and surroundings. They were clearly professional, knowledgeable, friendly and did a great job. Isabella arrived prior to the commencement of the work and followed up afterwards to ensure our complete satisfaction. The work was done brilliantly, without any mess, and far better than expected. I would absolutely engage them again for any other electrical work, and am delighted to highly recommend them.

I hired Isabella and Kinetic Electric as part of an extensive remodel of a 4000 square foot multi-story home originally built in 1915.

Kinetic Electric's work included (but was not limited to):

- New electrical panel and outlets throughout the home
- Installation out new outlets and fixtures in support of new kitchen and bathroom layouts
- Smart lighting and smart switches
- Installation of new wiring in support of motorized shades
- Installation of new wiring in support of air conditioning
- Replacement of all existing light fixtures with LED lighting.
- CAT 6 ethernet wiring throughout

I've never worked with a more thorough, thoughtful and sincere contractor. Isabella is a creative problem solver, she's knowledgeable, she's a good communicator, and she is extremely well organized.

She knew what would work well, and where to put things. When she completed something, she always tested it to make sure that it worked. Work product was of consistently high quality.

She was careful with my money. When I had ideas for using smart switches in some of the rooms, she advised me (rightly) that these switches can be expensive and a timed wall switch with a motion sensor rather than an Internet enabled smart switch would be more than adequate for the laundry room, the closets, etc.

When a cover for a light switch caused a button to stick, she offered to take it home and file it down so it wouldn't stick any more when I didn't want to wait for a new part. She also fixed a hallway sconce that wasn't quite fitting right (the manufacturer's fault, not Isabella's).

After we had moved in, she checked on the height of the dining room chandelier. She made adjustments and then followed up a couple of weeks later asking if we liked the height or not. She made more adjustments like this over multiple visits as she finished the last of the work.

There were no surprises. The quoted price she gave me was how much it cost, and the work that she did was on time and on schedule. Her employees were courteous, good communicators, and organized. Just like her.

On the very last invoice that I paid, she gave me a discount because things had gone a bit better than she had expected. So actually I'm wrong, there was a surprise, but it was a pleasant one.

I hired Kinetic to do a panel upgrade and EV charger install at my home.
Got bids from several electricians but after meeting with Isabella I knew she was the one. Amazingly helpful, took time to walk the job and think through the problem and best solutions--even figured out why I had some dead plugs in the garage and fixed them during her initial visit!

After taking the time to understand the job fully, her bid was competitive and included a full breakdown of where the costs were going (not just a single lump cost like some others I received).

After hiring her, she and her crew proved I made a great choice. The whole team was amazing--knowledgeable, friendly, communicative, and got the work done on time with no surprise additional costs.

As an architect, I have worked with countless different contractors, subs and electricians, and I would give my highest recommendation to Kinetic Electric. Will definitely hire them again the next time I need any electrical work done.

Wow. Isabella and the Kinetic team were super professional, and we are incredibly pleased with our new kitchen lighting and the through craftsmanship of the installation, below and above our kitchen cabinetry. Isabella thoughtfully took us through a number of different LED lighting options for us to select from. She was very straighforward on our proposal's pricing, and the scheduling of the work. We will certainly use Kinetic for future lighting enhancement projects in our home.

I have a welding shop that was in dire need of some high power outlets but also needed to look good. Isabella met with me the day after I called and we talked about my options. She came back with all of the parts needed and installed everything I needed to run all of my equipment and it all looks great. Next up is some lighting design, as Isabella is also a lighting designer and has a keen eye for what is needed in various spaces.

My only regret is that I didn't meet her sooner; she is such a pleasure to work with. Isabella and Kinetic staff were so wonderful to work with. We have a whole home restoration that required new wiring and getting rid of our old knob and tube. They were all super responsive and thorough. Bids were competitive and they were great with scope change and additions. We are having them come back to help with an exterior lighting plan! Can't recommend them enough!
