Wallace Electric was established by my father in 1956. I collaborated with him, and once I earned my Contractors license, I continued the business after his retirement.

My father was an Electrical Contractor, and I assisted him as a teenager, continuing through college. After finishing school, I worked for him and loved helping people so much that I pursued my Contractors License. I have been in this trade for over 45 years and have cherished every moment. I take on all types of electrical jobs, with a primary focus on service installations. I have supported thousands of individuals over the years, and my Yelp comments are a testament to that. Ken and Mike are awesome! I was looking to have a level 2 car charger installed in my garage. Having zero knowledge of what to do or what I needed. I called 3 different electricians (all w/4-5 stars on Yelp). All 3 gave me rough estimates over the phone/email after gathering more information on my situation. Ken was the exact same price as 1 of the other electricians and the 3rd was slightly higher. Ken however, called me early the next morning and asked if he could come over to see the project to give me a more accurate price. I was available, so I said sure! He came over a couple of hours later, and his price still stood. In meeting and speaking with Ken and Mike they both seemed like they really knew what they were doing. So I decided to let them do the work then and there. 4 hours later, my charger is installed and functioning perfectly! Mike and Ken were great about the whole process. Mike even offered to look at some other electrical concerns I had and gave me some advice on it. I would gladly call Ken and Mike again the next time I need electrical work!

Ken, Mike & the rest of the crew are great! They have gone above and beyond our expectations! We had a very devastating Fire at our office (MJ Medical) on Sunday that burned all our electrical and after calling several electricians off Yelp, Ken was the first and only vendor to call us back right away and come out to our office first thing Monday morning. Him and his team were very helpful and knowledgeable, since we had no idea where to even begin, he broke down to us everything that had burnt (telephone lines, electrical chords, ceiling light, etc) what would need to be replaced, and the process oh how to properly go about handling repairs to meet insurance and city standards. They went to the city and pulled the permits needed to get repairs done efficiently, made sure we followed the city inspector's guidelines and even showed me what exactly to photograph so we can show to our insurance. Overall, they were VERY professional, honest, helpful, resourceful, and friendly! They know their stuff! They were there for us every step of the way & the best part was that they were able to get everything repaired & have us back up and running in less than 2 days!!! AMAZING!!

We are beyond thankful and wish them a prosperous future! We recommend them to anyone looking for an EXCELLENT electrician team!

Had Ken install a ceiling fan in my living room. There wasn't any wiring or anything where I wanted it hung. I got quoted a great price for running the conduit, wire and hanging the fan. They even fixed a loose wire in my attic for a light that didn't work anymore. I highly recommend for small electrical work jobs

Ken and his team recently completed a LED retrofit of 45 fluorescent light fixtures in our Condo community garage. For a Licensed and Bonded Electrical Contractor his rates were the most reasonable after reviewing multiple quotes for the same job. Once we set a date they arrived right on time and knocked out the project quickly.

He also was good at returning our calls and emails leading up to the project and spending the time to get us the best result. Definitely recommended.

Update- I figure I should respond to the owner comment below. The review was written by me for Ken, he references that I wrote it on behalf of someone else but he simply did the work on a house that I personally do not own. I was the client, Ken invoiced me and I handled every aspect from scheduling to payment. It has nothing to do with anyone else.

The job has been paid in full.

Here is the original review- Pretty bummed I have to write this review, but Ken didn't do right by me during our interaction and its worthwhile sharing with others.

I called him out to service a failed light in a stairway and hallway at a clients home. Ken went out and diagnosed the problem as a short circuit. The short also damaged a dimmer and a light in a stairway that needed to be replaced. He left and said once I buy the light to replace the broken one he would be back out to install. I also mentioned that we needed the new dimmer that burned out to which he said he would replace when he came out.

Once the light was purchased Ken came back out and replaced it. He told me after he left that he didn't have the dimmer and instead he installed a white regular switch (our switches are ivory). I explained that the client was pretty upset about that and we needed the dimmer and would need it installed as soon as possible. Ken stated he could be back out in two days to finish the job. I should note that Ken has given me two invoices up to this point, one for the initial call for the short circuit and one for the installation of the new light. Both of which we paid and were priced fairly.

Once Ken came back out in two days for the new dimmer a new invoice arrived. For the installation of one dimmer, just a simple Lutron 3 way ivory dimmer ($12.93 on Amazon) he charged us $193.00. I calmly emailed and let him know that price was a bit high and requested him to revisit the pricing to adjust our fees. Ken left me a voicemail stating he had to go out of his way to purchase the dimmer and our appointment was considered a ""rush."" I noted to myself that nowhere on the invoice did it say ""rush."" I have also noted that the dimmer is available at Home Depot, it was not hard to find.

Days went by and Ken called me. He said that I could ""knock $25 off the price."" I kind of laughed. That wasn't much. The charge would have been inflated if it were half of the original $193. Ken stated that he had ""a truck that got 10 mpg, insurance"" he was bonded and again our appointment was considered a rush. Im not going to push the point if he had a chance to do right by me already, so I stated I would pay the fee and be done.

Its still frustrating me that someone can do this. Its practically highway robbery. During his first phone call he stated it took about 20 minutes installing the dimmer. Just today he stated it took 1.5 hours. If the dimmer took 1.5 hours he needs to revisit his skill set because there was nothing challenging about it. I would have expected his fee to be much smaller, possibly free since he should have brought the dimmer on the second visit.

Im so disappointed in Ken. Struggling to see how he has such a perfect rating. Maybe people just don't know how much things should cost? Ken, you had the opportunity to do right by me. I am sorry that we have ended on a sour note, but you stole from me.

Ken and Mike are pretty amazing. I had an issue with the buss board in my breaker box, they were able to get me one that matched, and also made sure everything was working and ok before they left. The price was extremely reasonable and Ken NEVER tries to bamboozle you! Communication is king, h'll always return calls!
