Ken is simply the best electrician I've ever worked with. He is incredibly responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. From helping with a simple closet light to installing our Nest IQ cameras, he is just awesome. Ken is the absolute best! He is extremely patient and talked through various solutions with me over the phone for over 30 minutes without receiving a dime. We bought a ""fixer"" in a nice area of Calabasas, CA. Ken did a small job for us before on a previous home and did a good job, so we hired him to assist with this big project.

In short, he and his crew did a good job for part of the electrical work...(the upselling attempts were not appreciated). At this point we had spent in excess of $7,000.00 with quite a bit of work to go.

We called him again as well as emails and texts which went unanswered, to have a discussion about the remainder of the work, and he failed to return our calls.

A week later, we hired another electrical contractor who completed the job without any challenges.

""No shows"" are not an uncommon issue in the construction trades...I wish Ken and his crew all the best, it is unfortunate that he could not complete his commitment.

Called Ken after a few rooms randomly lost power. With my very limited knowledge of the electricity field, I went out to the breaker box and did not see any switches flipped. Unfortunately, none of the switches are labeled either :( Figuring I had nothing to lose I flipped the main power switch off then on but, of course, that didn't work.

Having two bathrooms AND the family room TV without power, I looked up a local electrician hoping I could get some help before the end of the day. I found Ken here on Yelp with great reviews and dialed. I explained the above and he asked me a few simple questions to troubleshoot over the phone.

He explained that sometimes they will trip but the switch will stick and not actually flip to off, and to manually flip each one off and then back on; and then said if that did not work to call him back and he would try to get someone out. I went outside and did as he suggested, and it worked! YAY!
Might sound simple to some of you but I hadn't thought of it and was more concerned with keeping and eye on my two little ones. So having said that, I am very happy to know that there are people like Ken who will gladly troubleshoot some simple options over the phone instead of just coming out and charging a service fee to do that himself.

Thank you Ken! I will definitely be calling back the next time we need an electrician!

Ken is the best electrician we have ever used. He provides outstanding service, he is honest and his prices are fair. He has great ideas and provides cost effective solutions. His crew was at our house all day yesterday because we wanted to change out all of our light fixtures to LED's and we are extremely happy with the work they did. In fact, we are having them come back to do additional things. He doesn't try to nickel and dime you for every little thing and he was so helpful, going the extra mile to make sure we are happy. I highly recommend Ken!
