Don't know use these people. FRAUD Technician came out because our air unit was not working. The technician said the unit needed a board and a new motor. After replacing both, the unit still did not work. When he look at the outside unit, the technician informed us that we needed a whole new unit. We told him to remove the new parts because the unit is still not working. Then he gave us a bill of over $1000 basically for nothing, that my son paid. Why???? The air unit is still broken. RIPE OFF

The Technician should have evaluated the whole system before he started work.

Don't waste your time with this company. They do not stand for their product and services. Do not by any means try to get their maintenance plan either. It's a scam. If you cancel it, before it was a year then you will be charge for the entire year regardless. There are more a/c and heating company you can trust out there. Do not use Keefe's Heating and A/C. Trust me, I was misled.

I've had four experiences with this company as explained below.

In the winter of 2019 I had an over temperature switch go out in the heating unit. It was replaced by the technician and the unit was put back into service. He also sold me a maintenance contract, which although being a bit pricey, I thought it would be better to be proactive rather than reactive.

During the 2020 summer maintenance, the repairman was not as thorough. He did not blow out my condensate lines although I asked him to do so. Even worse, he suggested I replace my condensing unit starting capacitor. It was still working but barely out of the rated capacitance tolerance so, again, I thought it best to let him do it. The job was 10 minutes as it only has two terminals. The cost for a 10 minute repair and a $15 part was a $300 change order to the already paid for maintenance contract.

During the winter 2020 maintenance there were no surprises. It was noted that they could install some unnecessary valves (again very, very high cost) in my condensate drain lines, but being an engineer and familiar with HVAC units I declined.

Two weeks after the maintenance (report stated unit was in good working order) and a year after the first repair, the same switch they fixed went out again. At this point, I have family with a pregnant tenant leasing the property from me. The husband lets me know the unit is out so I call on Keefes. Keefes stated the filters haven't been changed (I change them personally every three months on a schedule) and that my heating coil has burned up (that can happen but was not the case). They then tell me that I need a new unit (it's 8 years old). I said, I probably don't, and I ask them to check the previous repair they made. They said it was unrelated. I asked them to leave and I called Rob's AC for a second opinion. Rob's pointed out that the switch they have previously repaired failed (open terminal; poor craftsmanship from the first visit). I was also charged an additional $80 by Keefes for this visit.

With that said, I will never do business with them again. Look elsewhere.

DO NOT PICK THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!Scheduled an appointment on Monday for Saturday. Saturday comes no one showed up. Receptionist called said the tech was backed up with a job. We would be first on Sunday. Sunday comes , receptionist calls again at 5:22pm and says that someone is still scheduled to come out. Now it's 8pm, no one has showed up. No one has called. I've been waiting two days now for someone to show up. Company couldn't provide a window for service because the company has no idea if and when a tech will be available. I don't normally leave reviews, but if this saves someone waiting in Louisiana heat it is worth it. I WARN YOU AGAIN: DO NOT PICK THIS COMPANY!!!!

Don't waste your time this company they will use your need for Repair against you! Warning, if you are in a pinch get off this AC company and keep looking. Keefe's I have used a couple times and at first they seemed reliable but then they went into a bizarre sales pitch to convince me to get a year ""contract"". I stupidly took them up on this expensive offer and don't really hear from them again even when I brought it up to another tech for my other unit. On that unit we are told that we need a new condenser costing nearly 5k, and lucky us we can finance it (oddly at a much higher credit limit). That 5k unit clearly didn't fix it (oops) so they say they have to redo some pipe, add 2k suddenly to that loan. This happens at the beginning of the pandemic where I ask no less than four times to do the servicing for the other unit since we are paying $6000 to have a new unit installed on the other side. They refused, now here we are in the heat of the summer and no income and it stops working due to not being serviced, perfect, I have a service ""contract"". We call and they say that they can get a tech there for $80 and the lady on the phone groaned and says the because we pay for the service plan we can have him come at $79. $79 we get a whole one dollar discount for the 400+ dollar plan they don't even uphold. Then the lady on the phone tells us that she will have him come immediately, next Monday, in the heat of summer Not to mention it is broken down because it was not serviced back in March when they were in our house. We are currently Unemployed due to the pandemic and now buying a window unit so our renter has some relief for $500. I am also contacting our lawyer over this. They do not honor their contracts. Avoid!!

I give them two stars because they showed up. Salesman was a nice guy with some knowledge. However, his quotes for Lennox good, better, and best complete systems tear out and install (2.5 and 3.0 ton) were almost to the penny TWICE the price of Trane, American Standard, Rheem. All other quotes were supplied by what I consider to be reputable, established companies in the area (I've lived in St Tammany 40+ years) and every one of them inspected both of my systems before quotes. Keefe's wanted to charge $88.00 to send a technician out to inspect and quote both systems. I refused as nobody else charges for quotes of complete systems. The salesman was no charge, so I said send him out. He did look (not inspect) at them. I told him in the beginning all I want is to pull out old and install complete new systems. He quoted via email later and prices were over the top. So, I called the sales rep and asked if he made a mistake on his quote regarding $26K to $36K prices and he assured me that the numbers were correct. My advice is to not waste your time. These guys are WAY out of line with prices.

UpDATE: we got some sort of justice. They sent their AC guru who adjusted something in an entirely different place than the first repairperson. It took him 10 mins. He also looked over everything... and flipped the switch. We got AC!
As you have read above, the CC company froze the payment. Couple of weeks later a Supervisor rang us inquire about the scenario. I explained and he apologized... telling us they would not contest and will accept the removal of the charges. It still cost us the price of the window unit... but we will give it to a family in need.
I hope they have learned a lesson. But just n case... if you use this company... record the entire repair visit on video. At least then, maybe you will have proof if there is a problem.

Will never deal with this business again! Our office had them come out last year and they signed us up for a maintenance plan. I called yesterday and asked if they could come out to check on a problem we were having in one of the rooms, and a nice lady who had to keep putting me on hold to talk to her manager, told me that we owed them $400+ dollars because our maintenance plan was cancelled for no-payment. Turns out the card they were using was stolen so another card was issued. No one called (they said they did, but no one did), emailed or even sent notification of any kind that our contract was being cancelled. We had no idea and had even just spent over $11,000 with them at the owner's condo because we had what we still thought was a good relationship with them. I told them we would pay the amount we owed for the monthly rates, but they wanted to charge for discounts they had previously given. Even though we wanted to remain in a service plan. (Oh, and they never came out for the 6 month maintenance so it isn't like they did anything at all during the year. We had other work going on so we didn't realize they hadn't come out.) The girl I spoke with yesterday wouldn't let me speak to a manager. So a manager was supposed to call me back and never did. This morning when I called back to speak with a manager I was given the run around and the receptionist said well it says you already talked to a manager. I told her no, I spoke with a lady that kept putting me on hold while she went to speak to her manager. I spent at least 20 minutes on hold yesterday and got nothing accomplished. So basically we are going with another company. We don't like their business practices and the way they treat their customers.

Not impressed! The visit started out ok. Service person ran a diagnostic check and said everything seems to be fine. I explained the reason why I put in for the service call. The service person gave me a theory and since it's not my area of expertise I figured they would know best. So the blower was removed, cleaned, and reinstalled. I was put to work as well. I was instructed to vacuum around the unit. While the service person did a ""quick"" check of my outside unit. Everything was fine outback and I was good to go. Things were fine after the service was completed and my pockets lightened a couple hundred dollars. But a day or two later and the unit started acting up again. So I feel like a snatch & grab robbery occurred. Oh and watch out for the service plan hustle too.

I called Keefes because my AC was blowing warm air. I was told they would come out and do a diagnostics. The diagnostics consisted of checking both the exterior and the interior units.

Gracion Wunstell was the technician that arrived. I told him that the AC was blowing warm air. He walked to the outside unit. Without checking the unit and within a minute of arrival he told me that the problem was that my unit would not turn on. Lie # 1 because I had just turned it off prior to his arrival. When I told him the ac was working prior to his arrival he moved on to lie #2 without skipping a beat or telling me why without checking the unit he said it would not work.

He opened a compartment and told me that the capacitor was bad. But the capacitor was not bulging. Knowing that when most capacitors go bad they bulge, I told him the capacitor did not bulge. He conceded and moved on to lie number 3.

He then said the wire to the capacitor was burnt and that was causing the problem; therefore the wire needed to be replaced. When I looked at the wire and the capacitor I told him neither one appeared scorched. He looked again and said you right. I told him that the wire may have just been loose. He tightens the wire and the ac worked.

Gracion Wunstell smirks and tells me that I was lucky it was not the capacitor or the burnt wire because it would have cost a lot. Well, I think he tried to sell me that bs but failed because I had some knowledge and I watched everything he was doing. Anyway, he ended up charging me $119 to tighten a wire that took 30 seconds minus the bs that he tried to shove down my throat as he attempted to take advantage of what he believed was my ignorance with ac units.

At the end of the day, I ended up getting charged $249 (tighten the wire + diagnostics charge) and he did not give me a report on the spot as they normally do or receipt, which made me suspicious as I whispered to myself...what is he trying to hide.

As if Gracion Wunstell dishonesty was not enough when he tried to bs me, remember I was told the diagnostic included the outside and inside units, he charged me full price for the diagnostic and left without checking the inside unit.

I began recalling the conversation we had. He received several phone calls. He complained about the time and number of calls he still had to service. He also complained that while he was working he was missing a crawfish boiled that was sponsored by a distributor. Maybe thats why he rushed out without rendering the services I paid for.

I called the next day and spoke with the service manager Neil. Remember the report I did not get, well Neil told me that Gracion Wunstell documented in that report that he completed a diagnostic on BOTH the outside and INSIDE units. Neil said he would talk to Gracion Wunstell about the discrepancy and call me back.

Neil called me back and said that Gracion Wunstell ADMITTED HE LIED ON THE REPORT WHEN HE DOCUMENTED THAT HE HAD CONDUCTED A DIAGNOSTIC ON THE INSIDE UNIT.

Neil DID NOT seem BOTHERED or APOLOGIZED for THE DISHONESTY committed by Gracion Wunstell. But without asking and out of the blue he said he was going to refund me $40. What a joke! I could not believe that he was serious! No mention that we going to make things right and come finish what we charged you for but did not do or we take such acts of dishonesty seriously and will reprmand our employee and take steps to ensure such behavior would not happen again. Almost like he is $40 back, now go away. That was my interpretation. Anyway, as of the time of this review, a week or so later, they charged my credit card for services they did not render, but have not refunded the $40. I guess the lies and dishonesty starts at the top.

I choose Keefes because of the good ratings. After my experience, I think they have such good ratings because people are not versed in ac diagnostics so when they get their ac's working again, people are happy. Not knowing that they have been taken advantage by a bunch of good manners, bs talking robbers without the bad guy customs and guns.
