The level of overcharging and ""phantom"" issues that this company finds is absolutely STAGGERING. I am a general contractor, but I am not very well versed in HVAC so I called Keefe to take a look at the unit when it stopped working. They attempted to charge me $292 to switch out the breaker. Fortunately I know that it is an $8 part that takes less than 5 minutes (maybe 15 minutes if a novice who has never done it before) to replace so I did that myself. They wanted another $200 to clean the unit. Yes, just to clean it with a hose. But they use a ""special"" solvent. Their ""special"" solvent is basically soap. They did manage to fleece me for $750, but I have serious doubts as to whether any of it was necessary. Unfortunately they prey on ignorance, and unless you have a detailed knowledge HVAC, they will screw you as badly as they think they can get away with.
I will say that the people you deal with will be very nice and helpful. In a way, it's a perfect system. You can't get angry with the technician or dispatcher, because they are just doing their job. You can call and complain, but the person you will complain to will be very polite and understanding and will have absolutely no power to change .
All I can do is tell others of their business tactics and hope that eventually enough people will stop using them that they will lose those precious profit margins that they care so much about padding. Please, I beg you, don't let them into your house.

A $16,000 mistake :-(
Nothing but problems with their service since purchasing a new HVAC in December. ""Somehow"" my financing got cancelled and it delayed them starting on the install (I was never contacted about the problem). They cut a hole in the ceiling in the wrong location to install a vent, they made a mess and didn't clean up - until it was brought to their attention that the mess was unacceptable, they had to come out to 'fix' the install.
This week - we have condensation on a vent, so I placed a call to make an appointment - not an 'emergency', so that I could be home for them to come. Called at 3:30 pm to say there was a delay and they could reschedule for tomorrow...
Poor service, poor 'excuses'. At one time, I gave them 5 stars for their service, but I don't know what has happened in the last 18 months, gone way down hill.
The only positive, the house is cool and my electric bill is significantly lower than last year.

It's Monday and my AC has been out since Thursday evening. I called Keefe's on Friday and the soonest they could come out was Monday. I wanted service sooner, but trusted they would rescue me as promised. They sent me a text confirming the appointment yesterday. HOWEVER, at 10 AM they called to say they will not be able to make it today and would I like to reschedule. WHAT??? It's 90 degrees in my house right now and has been for three long days!! I took off work to be here - NO, I don't want to reschedule! I called another company who should be here in a few hours. They may be good, but I will never know. Don't rely on Keefe's.

DO NOT USE!! They tried to take advantage of an 82 yr widow! They told her the repair was going to be 1300.00 to fix and said it wouldn't last or 15000.00 for a new one. THEY LIED. It was the capacitator A 12.00 part.

The initial technician, Nathan, that came out, on time, was great. Took pictures of everything to show us the problem and explained it well. My wife and I decided to get a while new system based on what was wrong. HOWEVER, the next guy that came out to give us prices was just like a used car salesman, but we decided on a system. First, the had the wrong address on the financing contract. Second, called Keefe's about the address issue and was told it would be fixed and read off the correct address to me while I was on the phone. Then was told a guy was going to come out to measure my house, between 5 and 6, this was @ 2:30pm. Called @ 6:30pm, and of course get an answering service. I was told they would get in touch with the ""on-call"" guy and get back to me. I have yet to receive a call back and it's 7:45pm. I know no one is coming out this late and probably not Sunday either, so how can I possibly be scheduled for installation on Monday?!? I'll deal with a hot house for a couple days, because I'm not signing the contract and getting someone else to do the work. The only reason I'm even giving one star is because the first guy was very thorough.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! They lie and use scare tactics to sell new systems! They obviously do not properly train their technicians. The service tech did not correctly install my capacitor and over charged me. The service tech said my furnace was leaking gas and my air conditioner was leaking oil. Thankfully I got a second opinion!

SHOP AROUND if you have the time. Oh, they were nice and my install was quick and clean, BUT they are very expensive, and their customer service SUCKS.
I've had my system for a year and a half now with a Nest learning thermostat. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS THERMOSTAT. I hate it. It does what it wants and not what i want it to. I've had to call Keefe's on numerous occasions about it and I get told someone will call me back. They never call back unless I raise hell. I have nothing good to say about Keefe's.

Keefe's Sucks:
How do I take the day off of work, sit here ALL day waiting... then, get a call at 5:20pm to tell me that no one is coming. I am flying out to Houston in the morning and can not reschedule. This is the biggest bullshit that I have ever seen. If you would have let me know earlier, I could have called a different company out. Expect for me to troll every social media site and review site to explain why NO ONE SHOULD EVER USE KEEFES AC SERVICE. Keefe's does not value their customers and they do NOT deserve your business. Keefe's should spend less money on billboards and more money on ensuring that they are providing quality service in a timely manner. ZERO STARS. LAST PLACE.

Don't know use these people. FRAUD Technician came out because our air unit was not working. The technician said the unit needed a board and a new motor. After replacing both, the unit still did not work. When he look at the outside unit, the technician informed us that we needed a whole new unit. We told him to remove the new parts because the unit is still not working. Then he gave us a bill of over $1000 basically for nothing, that my son paid. Why???? The air unit is still broken. RIPE OFF
The Technician should have evaluated the whole system before he started work.

Don't waste your time with this company. They do not stand for their product and services. Do not by any means try to get their maintenance plan either. It's a scam. If you cancel it, before it was a year then you will be charge for the entire year regardless. There are more a/c and heating company you can trust out there. Do not use Keefe's Heating and A/C. Trust me, I was misled.
