I called Kirk to install a ceiling fan where there had never been one before in my house and he was professional, prompt and fair-priced. He had to go in the attic to install the fan and even fixed an attic light while he was there. woo hoo! That's customer service! He's not price-gauging either, like some of the other electric companies I called. I trust KB Electric and would call them again.

We received outstanding service from KB Electric in Santa Rosa! We had an emergency situation with our electrical system. We were told that our electrical boxes were way out of code and needed to be replaced for our mobile home (we were risking a fire hazard). We had 4 electrical contractors bid the job and all were fairly close in price. We selected KB Electric based on other reviews and the friendly demeanor of Kirk, the owner. He also went out of his way to get our permits expedited, which had to go through the State of CA because it is a mobile home. Both he and his brother completed the job and they couldn't have been nicer or more professional. They came when promised, cleaned up after themselves and got the job done in a hurry. There were a number of problems due to the fact that being a mobile home, our electrical power was hooked together with other homes, however not labeled, so there was no telling when they turned the electricity off which other houses would be affected. They figured out a work-around and ended up working with the electricity ""hot"" in order to avoid potentially inconveniencing the entire neighborhood. They also installed our new cooktop as an added bonus (which was what stated this whole journey in the first place), saving us having to wait for 2 more weeks to get the local appliance store to have it installed (we were good and tired of cooking on a hot plate!) We can't say enough good things about Kirk and Keith. They are very caring individuals and wonderful to work with.

I have been in business for 25+ years and have hired hundreds of freelancers and contractors. The amazing experience I just had with Kirk Buckman at KB Electric puts him in the top 1% of the absolute best people I've ever hired. Read on and you'll see why:

Three weeks before Christmas, the vintage 1970's Zinsco electric panel on our house shorted out. The power died and you could smell burnt insulation and smoke. PG&E came out fast to turn off the power and said ""this is a major problem, it's unsafe and I've never seen one quite this bad. It's ready to cause a fire."" That started my emergency search for an electrician who could get the work done before Christmas, in freezing weather and rain. Several people I called said ""Too busy. Maybe next year.""

But my realtor Tim Johnson recommended Kirk Buckman, and he came out the same day I called him. Kirk saw the situation was a mess, and a major problem to untangle in an old house. But he and his brother understood the bad spot I was in (no power, no heat) and they took the job. The two of them worked overtime and in six days, completely rewired my house with new 200-amp service. Kirk got miraculous cooperation from PG&E and the county permit office. Frankly, I can't believe how hard and fast they both worked on this project. More important, they didn't cut any corners and the work was done right, correcting problems on a 40-year old house as they went and putting in the most modern panel available. Kirk was amazingly thorough, professional, and they didn't make a mess. A super-fast, clean, pro job. And it was fairly priced too. On a scale of 1-to-10, Kirk Buckman is a solid 15. Great work; above and beyond the usual. Very impressive. I'd hire him again anytime.

We recently purchased a home in Santa Rosa and our pre-purchase inspection noted concerns about the safety of our electrical service panel so we wanted it replaced. Got the company's name from the realtor who helped us buy the home. The owner gave us a quote and delivered and installed a new panel as well as taking care of the City permit and the coordination with PG&E. Could not be more happy with the attention to detail during the install and the personal integrity of the owner of the company. KB Electric is our go-to electrician.
