Called Ian the other day for electrical issue. Set the appt date and showed up to diagnose the issue. It was a free estimate and a repair cost thereafter. It turned out to be a non-issue and everything checked out okay. He explained the issue very plainly and straightforward that was easy to understand.

I asked him what the cost was for the diagnosis and it was no charge.

Plain spoken, honest, and friendly.

I plan on keeping him in my contacts list going forward! I will be referring Ian to all of my friends and family.

I needed two lights installed in my bathroom and two outlets installed. One outlet was a bit of work because wiring needed to be installed as well. I contacted a number of electricians, but Ian responded first and with a quote that was reasonable. He and Kawika showed up wearing masks continually. They are super nice and did a beautiful job. I would call them again in a heartbeat if I needed any electrical work done. They are truly the best.

Ian and Kawika were great. Ian responded within an hour of my inquiry, asked questions to understand my issue and then gave me an estimate and window of time to come fix our kitchen outlet. He texted a reminder the day before and called that morning to ask if I was flexible for him to come earlier. Usually you end up sitting around wondering if they will show up or not.
He arrived, with mask, and set to work. He was also very patient and clear in communicating what he found, how he was going to fix it, and answer all our questions. We would recommend him and use him again!

This is the first time I used Yelp to find a tradesman, and I'm going to do it again if I need a plumber, etc. We got 3 names recommended and 2 of the 3 had bad reviews. Another name referral didnt have correct contact Info or return call. On Yelp! I reached out to 3 who had decent reviews, all 3 returned my call and 1 could not do the job, the 3rd called after I'd already booked kama'aina but were still courteous and helpful.
