A very disgruntled and annoyed ""ex-Kalos"" and never to use agian customer.

Think twice before using these people - what they say and waht they do are very different!

Being new to the US way of things, we were advised to always be careful when selecting a trustworthy and reliable air conditioning ""expert"".

Our air con failed in mid-Septemebr 2019. We immediately called Kalos (who we had used in the past) and they despatched an engineer (plus a trainee) the next day. After much deliberation and scratching of heads, the diagnosis was that we had a small but constant leak coming from the inside of the condo unit. The engineer offered to top up the refrigerant, at a cost of over $400, advising that would see us through until the $1,900 plus labor work was undertaken......yes the quote was that much!

The very next morning, we awoke to no cool air and a fan that sounded like it would take off any moment. We immediately called Kalos. Anoher engineer was despatched.....same day!

His diagnosis was completely different to the first visit and the $400 of refrigerant had all leaked away (yes, in 24 hours) as the leak was actually outside the property. The first engineer had failed to locate the major leak and seemed to be only concerend with the uplift in fee that he was asking me to pay. The second engineer advised that the part ordered the previous day by the first engineer would not do anything to rectify the problem and he cancelled the order......

We rightly tried to contact Kalos on several occassions to discuss this but amazingly, the famed customer servce they claim to offer had (like the refrigerant) all but evaporated.

As a customer, I feel extremely let down and misled. The ultimate repair that was needed was undertaken at a much lower cost than the Kalos estimates - leading me to believe that I was the attempted victim of profiteering. Thank goodness my HOA stepped in to rectify the problem directly (with another air con provider).

Kalos is a great company to deal with. The employees are all very polite and knowledgeable. I just had my dryer vent cleaned and I would recommend them highly. It is vented thru the roof. The gentlemen who did it wore booties over their shoes and even took my dryer hose outside to get the dust off of it. They go on the roof and check the vent up there. I recently had my complete AC system replaced. Kalos was neat, best price and best service. Their representatives were a shining light compared to other companies. Their iinstallers showed concern were extremely neat and followed through after the install in cleaning up every little bit dropped on the floor. I highly recommend Kalos for your AC needs

Another quick update to my previous review. Due to a difficult 2018 health wise for me, we managed to wait too long to have Kalos clean our wall units, so the blower wheels needed to be removed and cleaned, an extra $174 each, to make a total of just under $450 for the service of our mini split converters. I am beginning to suspect that maintaining this Mistsubishi system might be more expensive over the long haul than a more conventional central a/c unit, but I really like the setup, with its ability to provide both cooling and heating, so while I may no longer recommend it as a system to others, I am satisfied with it for our situation.

Excellent company to deal with, very responsive ... had our a/c replaced, the work was done in a very professional, knowledgeable and friendly manner. The team showed up on time and did an excellent job, they went over everything with us and the cost was exactly what the estimate was. Very satisfied customer and plan to use Kalos on a regular basis to keep our a/c in top shape. Call them ... you won't be sorry!

I'm going to echo what someone else said, stop reading reviews and just call Kalos. I had an issue with my unit icing up, and their service tech, James, found the problem, my fault, I had knocked a wire loose cleaning the unit and misplaced it. He also checked everything else out and it only cost the $75 service charge. He also mentioned that we should always run the unit on ""auto"" and not ""fan"" and explained why. The next day, I found that on auto the unit wasn't turning the blower off. Another tech, Bert, found that a relay was sticking and there was no charge for that second service call! Both of these techs were SUPER! Explained everything, all my options and costs, and put on no pressure. Excellent!

I've use Kalos a couple times before this most recent service. Previously, they were able to diagnose, repair and eliminate a problem with our air conditioning that even the original installer was unable to do. This was an easy one for them, clogged drains from the air conditioner. So why have them do such an easy job? Because they came the same day I called, cleaned the drains and installed a system that will prevent future overflows. It was extremely reasonably priced, the problem is solved, and is guaranteed! Need I say more? These are professionals. The tech knows what to do and how to do it. That's it. Stop trying to jerry-rig the thing yourself or follow the you-tube instructions. Call Kalos. You will be happy you did.

This review is long overdue. But to make things simple for you: stop reading reviews and call Kalos.

These guys are hard working, honest, responsive, and thorough. A year ago they steered me straight when another company was looking to rob me blind. They handled the full replacement of my ac in my rental property , working with my need and my budget. They also replaced my electric breaker panel. It was wonderful having the electrical team on the same page as the ac guys as timelines were in sync and the project was all handled in a very timely manner. Upon installation of the ac they discovered a few minor hiccups Whig they could have easily pushed off on me and held up the job, instead they quickly solved, keeping me informed the whole time, and came up with strong solutions to protect my home and their product. Working late into the evening and even the rain, these guys got it done and held firm to their quote. My tenant has been very happy with the new a/c and Kalos will be our go-to guys for all things electrical and a/c related in Orlando.
