I used this kamaaina three generation licensed electrician company for both my commercial and residential needs. While they are often busy, the best ones usually are. So be patient and keep trying.

Anela on the phone was very knowledgeable and patient as a saint with all my possibly stupid questions (""Do bulbs come in different sizes? Not wattage or the sockets, but the diameter. Why does this not fit!?!"") She helped me diagnose what was needed and set up a convenient appointment. She also sent a reminder the day prior (I had set an appointment about 5 days away on my day off).

Iolani texted about a half-hour prior to her arrival and arrived right on schedule. My little feminist heart was pleased that a woman could be such a skilled electrician, and I appreciated that she so personable and accommodating as I had several other electrical issues she advised on. The main project was to replace a broken light/ceiling fan and remove a lightbulb that had cracked in the socket. She also checked that the house's wiring was ok. It would flicker on one or two fixture (scary if you don't know it is a problem). There were also two other that were ""funky"" but are now ok. Cue ""how many homeowners does it take to change a lightbulb..."" joke. Answer: more than two. There was also a remote control on another ceiling fan that is now on it's own frequency and not turning on with Netflix or whatever weird thing it was doing.

The house feels new and safe now. I'm very pleased with K Schenk Electric and would recommend them highly.

Had a lot of jobs around our place from small (outlet replacement) to larger (replace light fitting with recessed lighting). They were really quick to respond to my email and sent someone to look at what work was needed. They didn't say no to anything that we requested and give us a very reasonable quote. Once the work began, they were highly professional and we are really happy with the work they did. Will not hesitate in getting them back if we need anything further done!

Was looking all over for an good electrician company, and finally found one! Only thing is sometimes communication wasn't as good but it was fine, I still ended up to an understanding!
They were good workers, nice, tried to ease my concerns cause it was an old house that needed an upgrade in wiring and panel box. After the work they went over with us on what they did.
They even helped put my disposal back working, long story...., put up new lighting & fan that I bought...and even helped fix our outdoor outlet that they didn't need to.
All in all I liked they're work, would call on them again! Mahalo to Anela also, who answered any of my questions, and Kaulana, Kanoa & Gavin for helping make our home safe!

I goofed forgetting that the new electric water heater was going to need to be hooked up and I did not call an electrician (thank goodness our plumber Ryan from JBC reminded me).

I searched the YELP and found K. Schenk Electric- many of the reviews were about how awesome and responsive Anela was and what good work Kaulana did. When I called, Anela was sweet as can be and answered my questions. I followed up with an email with info & photos as requested, and bright and early the next morning, Kaulana was in there got it done, and both Anela & Kaulana called to give me a roundup of what was done- at a reasonable cost as well.

So thankful for this family owned business. They'll be getting more of my business referrals and calls for sure! Mahalo!

Do you need a life saver? I had a switch go bad and really needed help. Being afraid of electrical shock, I called and the lady on the phone was super sweet! It was quick to schedule an appointment and the electrician knew exactly where I lived. The morning of the appointment, they gave me a courtesy call to let me know their approximate arrival time. I learned this was a family operated business and I love supporting local businesses. The electrician was kind enough to remove shoes before walking in so that was bonus points too. I loved that the electrician took the time to explain things and tested everything before leaving. I am extremely pleased with this service and will not hesitate to call on them again if I need to.

Office staffer, Anela, set me up for an appointment for 2 ceiling fans: one to be installed and the other to be re-balanced. Electricians Iolani and Isaac came on time, got right to work, accomplished both projects well, and cleaned up completely. They even took time to answer my questions! Now I'm ready for the summer heat; bring it on!

I had a lot of trouble getting the bigger companies to come out to my place on the Windward side. K. Schenk was recommended by a friend after I voiced my frustration. The ladies answering the phone were very nice and they got me schedule ASAP. The electricians showed up right on time, were honest, quick, and even did a bunch of additional work that we had not discussed previously. They didn't even mind my dogs jumping all over them. I had a minor issue and they returned promptly and fixed it. Plan to use them for all future electrical needs. Thanks.

They have come out a couple of times to do work for us. We moved into a new house, there were lots of electrical issues. They came out the first time and fixed several things for very reasonable price. They also put together a quote for us to have some other work done. After asking around, their quote was definitely the best and we are very appreciative of the detailed work they do. At the last minute, we called before they arrived and asked if they could put up a ceiling fan in our 1960s beach house. The ceilings have virtually no attic whatsoever, and yet they were able to make it happen with no wires hanging anywhere.

I was in Kailua and needed some electrical work performed during my limited time frame. I called K. Schenk Electric, and Anela offered to see if they could adjust their schedule. Shortly later, she called to let me know that one of her electricians could be there on the day I requested. Right on time, Kanoa arrived, and fixed our electrical problems in 4 different fixtures quickly and proficiently. He was quite competent, polite and friendly. We enjoyed having him in our home.
If I need more electrical work done in the future, you know who I'll be calling!
