Office staffer, Anela, set me up for an appointment for 2 ceiling fans: one to be installed and the other to be re-balanced. Electricians Iolani and Isaac came on time, got right to work, accomplished both projects well, and cleaned up completely. They even took time to answer my questions! Now I'm ready for the summer heat; bring it on!

I had a lot of trouble getting the bigger companies to come out to my place on the Windward side. K. Schenk was recommended by a friend after I voiced my frustration. The ladies answering the phone were very nice and they got me schedule ASAP. The electricians showed up right on time, were honest, quick, and even did a bunch of additional work that we had not discussed previously. They didn't even mind my dogs jumping all over them. I had a minor issue and they returned promptly and fixed it. Plan to use them for all future electrical needs. Thanks.

They have come out a couple of times to do work for us. We moved into a new house, there were lots of electrical issues. They came out the first time and fixed several things for very reasonable price. They also put together a quote for us to have some other work done. After asking around, their quote was definitely the best and we are very appreciative of the detailed work they do. At the last minute, we called before they arrived and asked if they could put up a ceiling fan in our 1960s beach house. The ceilings have virtually no attic whatsoever, and yet they were able to make it happen with no wires hanging anywhere.

I was in Kailua and needed some electrical work performed during my limited time frame. I called K. Schenk Electric, and Anela offered to see if they could adjust their schedule. Shortly later, she called to let me know that one of her electricians could be there on the day I requested. Right on time, Kanoa arrived, and fixed our electrical problems in 4 different fixtures quickly and proficiently. He was quite competent, polite and friendly. We enjoyed having him in our home.
If I need more electrical work done in the future, you know who I'll be calling!

Schenk was recommended to me and the reps from Schenk that came out were really nice-but they didn't finish the job and one item was not wired correctly.
When I called back to request that they return and redo the item, the office rep (who was not at my house when the reps were working), questioned that I knew what I was talking about. I found this to be very impolite, however, I told her that the item had been checked by someone other than myself and that indeed it was incorrect.
It pretty much went downhill after that because she wouldn't allow me to finish my explanation, and it just seemed rude to treat a customer in that way.
When she gave me the date to have someone return it was more than two weeks away-I decided to go to someone else and I would not recommend this business.

K. Schenk Electric is by far the BEST on the islands! Highly recommend for all your electrical needs. Family oriented and professional, their crew is superb. They installed electrical outlets for our new washer/dryer to our 40 plus year old home in a heartbeat! Efficient, fast and friendly, K. Schenk is definitely the way to go! Thank you Kaulana, Anela and the entire Schenk family! You guys are AWESOME!

Almost had a fire with a smoldering outlet, so looked for an electrician the next morning. First one called was so busy they couldn't accept new work for two months, second one called no longer made service calls, and third one was Schenk. Left a message and they called back promptly--I made appt for following week, tho possibly could have taken me sooner. Pleasantly surprised the electrician who came was a woman and it's a family business, with kids having followed in their dad's footsteps. She switched out the outlet ""device"" and it was fixed w/in 45 minutes. Only thing is after she left, the other outlets on same circuit didn't work...luckily she was closeby helping on another job, so didn't take long to return. After repeating the steps on faulty outlet, success! I asked for opinion on the other outlets and she said they're fine for now but eventually I probably should switch them out--usually should replace every 15 years. Reminds me--it's been four days and they have yet to bill me...

We very highly recommend K. Schenk Electric! We had a very serious electrical problem that could have started a fire in our Kaneohe (all wood) house.
They came out in in a very timely manner, an hour or two, investigated and fixed our breaker problem.
Their service was polite and professional and the charges very reasonable!
We appreciate K. Schenk and will surely tell our friends.

Kaulana's boys did a great job and Anela was just fantastic to work with. They were 100% professional and did not rip us off because we were on the mainland. We knew Kaulana's Dad when he started the company in the 80s, like father like son....good guy. Anymore it is so difficult to find honest and hardworking professionals in the trades. This company is the last of the breed of them who have integrity. Hopefully they are on every homeowners list and consider this an Angie's list kind of referral and they go all over the island. I would stand behind their work 100%, as they do.... Don't take chances and go with da bes!!!!!
