Kevin has done three jobs at our house. First, he installed a subpanel in our garage and helped wire the garage for 220 volts. Next he upgraded our main panel from 125 to 200 amps, and elevated the power mast that was too low. This second job required coordination with SMUD (utility) for the one day disconnect-reconnect, plus inspection from the city. Finally, he upgraded and installed new lighting throughout our house.

For all three jobs, Kevin provided project guidance and a quote. Kevin was professional, friendly, clean, and did great work. We are planning a few other projects and I will be sure to contact Kevin for those projects as well. Very highly recommended.

I had been putting off hiring an electrician for years because everyone kept scaring me how expensive they were. This turned out not to be the case with KJ Electric.
When I had a mandatory home inspection done, I was told that my kitchen lighting would require electrical work to be done. So that remained on my 'things to do list' until more recently when the kitchen lights would no longer turn on at all.
Kevin got back to me right away & came out right away & got the job done very quickly & charged way less than I expected. And gave me a reasonable estimate for some other work that I would like to have done.
I should have called years ago!
He's also a cool down to earth guy, which made the experience even better.
Definitely will recommend him to everyone.

Kevin installed some ceiling fans and pendant lights in my home. He does great work and is very professional. I definitely recommend him if you need work done I your home.

Kevin did an awesome job in removing my old box light fixture and replacing it with recessed cans and pennant lights. My kitchen looks like a new kitchen and much brighter. He also installed ceiling fans and an outdoor motion sensor like light. Not only does he do great work, but he has a great sense of humor and very professional. I would definitely recommend him.

I had a very positive experience with Kevin. He gave me more than I asked for. I wanted an exterior light installed where there was no existing fixture. My assumption was that he would have to run a conduit on the exterior, adding to the conduit that was supplied by a former electrician who ran power out to the backyard for me. He didn't think that would look very good, nor did I, and that he would try and run the wire behind the wall. He gave me an estimate of the cost by phone. The job took longer than I expected, I think longer than he expected as well and I added on a few things like dropping a wire to my computer and swapping out some fixtures. I was amazed and pleasantly surprised when he stuck with his original estimate and tacked on a very reasonable sum for the add-ons. And yes, he had all the other attributes described in the other reviews. I've found my go to electrician for life. You mustn't ever retire Kevin!

Kevin literally left my house not even 5 minutes ago. We had him install 2 fans in a house without an AC in this crazy heat. He's was prompt, personable, crazy clean and affordable. We will definitely call him again for the next electrical needs.

Along with installing the fans he replaced an old out of date light switch box and still stuck to the initial quote.

Kevin did a great job estimating my repair and giving me alternatives to fix a panel problem found in a recent home inspection using Yelp messaging, email, and phone calls. He arrived when he said he would, fixed the problem satisfactorily, and explained how he did the repair and some considerations for future work that could by needed on my 1970's era electrical system. His price was very reasonable.

Kevin is great. I first contacted him to help with upgrades to my electrical panel and add some extra outlets and lighting for a kitchen remodel. He came out reviewed the work that needed to be done, gave me a fair price. When he came to do the work he made sure we agrees on where things needed to go, his work was thorough and neat. He was able to problem solve, he worked hard, and was trustworthy (I needed to run errands, he did stop working because I wasn't ). I've refer him to friends and family, they've all had the same experience. I recently needed to have some recessed lights installed and Kevin did a great job again!
