Called Joe up a couple years later to help out with our new home. He came in under another quote and was extremely fair in his pricing. He goes above and beyond - love that he does small drywall patch fixes and makes helpful suggestions to us as homeowners. My son kept saying ""Mr. joe is working very hard"" (he's 2).

Still highly recommend! If you're looking for a quality electrician with integrity, look no further.

I am appending this review (which was originally written for another site) because I can get into the account, but I am not removing it in light of yesterday's circumstances. I got on the internet to find electrical contractors. I called a posting that I saw that had the name JW Electric and a phone number. They answered the phone ""hello."" I asked them if it was JW Electric. They said ""yes."" I have a written log of all the companies I called and the phone numbers.

I had an appointment booked for weeks. I confirmed it a week ahead of time. The morning of the appointment the guy does not show up.

The owner then proceeds to tell me that he's going to have to charge DOUBLE because his guy waited in a parking lot all morning. That's a TOTAL LIE because I've been sitting at the kitchen counter all morning.

They are just looking to rip you off. Find someone else.

So I reported this originally to the Better Business Bureau. I get a call from JW Electric who tells me he never talked to me. So it becomes apparent that either someone posted the ad to pick up business or it was simply someone's mistake in a directory listing and when I called looking for the electrical company, they decided to poach the business.

I was sympathetic to the fact that JW Electric had a business problem. So I explained it to the Better Business Bureau. And at that time, I told JW Electric the appropriate thing is to contact the review site and they will contact the person who wrote the review. But JW Electric does try to sell me electrical services. I declined since I had already found someone else.

So the review shows up on Yelp. JW Electric starts calling me at work, on my personal cell phone and texting me. Again they are directed to contact the review site. And for the second time, I reinterate, ""Look, you have a business problem and these people tried to rip me off. You should be dealing with that problem. I didn't create your problem. But have the review site contact me."" And I have no personally vertified who actually answered the phone that day.

Last night they (the owner of JW Electric) sent threatening letters and proceeded to harass me until 1:40 in the morning. It's inappropriate. It's not the way to deal with a business problem there was no need to do that whatsoever. I feel like the phone calls, the text messages and the emails through 1:40 in the morning, seriously crossed the line.

I want to be clear. Do not contact me. Do not call me, Do not text me. Do not post my name online or anything about me online because that's harassment. I have a right to leave a bad review of a company when they've acted inappropriately. You would never even had know that someone was poaching your business if I hadn't contacted the Better Business Bureau. But you have no right to harass me and you should have been following proper procedures and contacted the review site.

But because last night's behavior was so inappropriate. I'm not taking this down. If you can't handle your business problems appropriately, then potential customers need to know that before they get into a business relationship with you.

I very clearly helped you the first time, but instead I was repaid with harassment. I didn't create your problem but you sure created one for yourself. People need to know that this is not the appropriate way to handle a bad review. And I personally do not want to do business with a company that acts like that.

I have worked with Joe at JW Electric for the past 3 years on about a dozen different projects on my home in Lake Worth. The projects have ranged from small outlet and light switch jobs, to exterior light installations, to a gut renovation of a master bedroom for which Joe installed 10 new recessed lighting fixtures, a ceiling fan and wiring for a new split air conditioner. Joe is a real pleasure to work with; he knows his stuff and he works fast. Always on time, usually early. There have been a few optional projects that I have brought up to him to ask his opinion and he will tell me if he doesn't think its a good investment, so I know that he is looking out for his customers. I highly recommend working with Joe and JW Electric of the Palm Beaches.

Joe came over and fixed 3 timer switches that I had wired wrong. Also hooked up a 3 pole switch and 2 dimmer switches. He was very helpful and friendly. His price was good too.

Joe at JW Electric is an expert at this craft. It is very hard to find a competent electrician with fair pricing these days... but Joe at JW Electric solved an on-going issue today (Saturday) in our master bedroom and charged a fair price to do the job. I recommend JW without any hesitation.
