Since Mike had great reviews and was a seasoned electrician, I chose him to set up a vintage stereo component system with four speakers in my house. I have to say that Mike did a meticulous job, neat and professional. He carefully spliced each wire with precision to ensure an excellent connection and sound quality. He took his time and takes pride in his quality work. He charged a very fair, honest and reasonable rate. Mike is AMAZING!!! We had a vision to mount the tv flat and to run the electric wire behind it so that you wouldn't see the wires and plug running down the tv and he was able to install a new outlet behind the tv! That he also installed these wooden wall panels with slates behind the tv to give it a cool Japanese modern look. Love love our living room, works quickly, efficiently and just a great guy to work with. We also had him put up all the chandeliers in our house as well. Will always ask for Mike for all our handyman needs!

This is the second time I've hired Michael to do electrical work at my house. The first time I hired him, he fixed some faulty wiring and his repair was flawless. This time, I wanted to upgrade the lighting fixtures around the house. He installed everything from chandeliers, flush mounts, to pendants, totaling six new fixtures. Mike remove the dated chandelier and installed the recessed light I wanted in its place. Not part of what he was at my home for, he closed the picture holes I had in the wall that were a result of my picture hanging skills (or lack thereof) and offered to paint over them!!! I was happy that he was able to do my job the very next day - he showed up on time and was very professional.

I can't give any stars or much of a rating at this time, because he didn't keep our confirmed appointment listed below. I made a point of leaving work early in downtown Oakland so I could be here early enough and not have him waiting. I never heard back from him, no call, no show. I wouldn't say this is the best way to do business, but I won't bother contacting again.

I was really trying my hardest to ask him to change my mailbox lock, but he constantly flaking. At first schedule for a Thursday morning, didn't call me or update me that he CANNOT make it. Then schedule for next Wednesday evening, did not show up and no updates until I call him. Then we schedule for Thursday morning at 8:00, still no show. I understand changing a lock is a small job, but please at least respect other peoples time. I have already let the HOA office about the situation and told my friends in the same community not to hire him. Michael is not trustworthy and not punctual.

Mike is a hard working electrician who took my electrical project after sending him a quote with pictures over Yelp. He gave me a good priced quote and told me he can arrived the next day. He gave me an estimated time of 12-2pm arrival but he did let me know he was running late because he was finishing up another job that day.

When he arrived, he looked at what I wanted to accomplish which was to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet to replace one that was improperly installed for an EV car. He gave me a few suggestions on installing the outlet because of the cable length I bought. Mike looked at the main breaker box and suggested to run the wire from the bottom. He then suggested that I hard wire the Tesla wall charger to the wall and bypass the outlet altogether since I wouldn't be using the plug for anything else.

He brought his gear into the garage and took his time to work on the project. He took out portions of the stucco wall to feed the wiring through the framing of the house. He installed the Tesla Charger on the wall first following the instructions and properly tightening the bolts so the wires stay in place. He fed the cable through holes he drilled through.

Unfortunately the cable length I bought was just a little short to be put at the same spot as the current breaker, so Mike was able to move breakers around and properly ground things to make it all work. He took the old cables and terminated them with ground nuts.

Long story short, Mike worked many hours into the night completing the job properly. He is methodical, patient, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I will definitely hire him again for the next electrical project.
