Just finished having the light fixture in my kitchen changed. Marvin Sr. and Marvin Jr. did a wonderful job. I called them to come to my home and give me an estimate for the work. We set up an appointment and when they saw that they would be late, they called and rescheduled and were on time at the next appointment. When they arrived, they recommended what I needed and gave me an estimate. When I purchased the fixtures I called them to set up an installation time. Again they were on time. They did the installation in amazing time, a beautiful job, clean, and knowledgeable. The final price was exactly the agreed upon amount. If you have any electrical work to be done, USE MARVIN, SR. Is there any other contractor to consider now? Not for me. Marvin & Son did a fantastic job at a great price. Had my entire breaker panel replaced with an updated setup, GCFI's installed in the kitchen (older home). They also found and repaired a damaged line going to the downstairs HVAC unit located up on the roof.
He was able to make an estimate appointment next day.
He showed up on time for estimate and service appointments.
He communicated all the service and material needs very well.
The new panel wiring was so professionally done, it was closer to art than just a wiring job.
Did it all in the timeframe he estimated, in the budget he estimated.

Not even going to bother looking at anyone else next time I have an electrical need. Marvin's got a dedicated customer in me.

We gave Marvin the bid for a large scale project in our newly purchased home after working with him and his son on two, smaller previous projects. This time around we were highly dissatisfied with the entire experience. Marvin and Marvin Jr did a great job with our new electrical panel; however, everything else was sloppily completed, if completed at all. A 2 week job turned into over 10 weeks with items that were left undone. Marvin never told us when (what day or time) he would be working on our home. One time he showed up at 7PM and by 10PM the neighbors called the police on him. Some days he wouldn't show up at all without notice. Prior to the 1st city inspection (which he failed), Marvin stated that he trashed items (e.g. old ceiling fans) so that some of his work wouldn't have to be inspected. Marvin, in fact, had to cut through drywall during this job. He contracted out the drywall repair work and brought someone into our home when we weren't there and without our permission. At this point, Marvin thought that he contracted COVID-19 from the aforementioned drywall contractor (who had tested positive after his visit to our home). We were not aware of any of this because Marvin disappeared for several days, when we finally tracked him down, he stated that he was quarantining. Marvin never completed the job based on the contract and did not honor his labor warranty. We had outstanding issues that we wanted addressed by Marvin; however, to this day he hasn't responded to our calls, texts or emails. We have had to pay over $500 to another company we found from Home Depot Pros to fix some of these issues.

Called Marvin on an issue I was having with pool wiring which turned out to be a breaker problem. Very effective trouble shooter and appreciate that it's a family business where he works with his son. Came out the next day and they had me up and running in 2 hours including a quick supply trip. Cost was more than fair and competitor. Thank you Marvin and Marvin Jr. Will call again for any future issues.

We had what turned out to be an emergent situation with a melting main breaker two nights ago. Marvin Sr. contacted me within minutes of sending out a request, and I am so glad he does what he does! He and his son were exceptional as they handled numerous hiccups in replacing our breaker box and the wiring running from our transformer. They got the job done in a day, and we now have a safely running system!
My husband is a terminal cancer patient, and they went above and beyond to get everything replaced and running smoothly for us in the heat of summer. I'll be calling them again the next time we need any electrical anything done. Cannot recommend them enough!
