I grew up in a trade household and feel like I have reasonable expectations for this sort of activity. I was going through my home warranty service and told they had to use this contractor. So I set an appointment as a whole Circut worth of my home is without power.
Appointment is a four hour window on a rainy day so I expect to wait till the tail end of my window. By 4 pm an hour before my window closes my wife try's calling JTL for an update. They ask simply you haven't gotten a call yet? Then say they will call back asap. 30 minutes latter at 4:30 nothing so we call twice more and get no one on the phone and no sign of our contractor.
At 9:05 pm I get a call saying they came by and left a door hanger saying they'd come by at 4:30 and that I'll be changed for the visit. Such a scam, since I was home sitting in a room that looked out at my front porch and door I find it pretty hard to believe the guy actually showed up since I was calling his office when he supposedly came to my door.
There are so many better small business in the area to support I should have read the other reviews first.

My home warranty company recommended them. I called JTL and scheduled an appointment around my schedule. They arrived in their time window and were very professional and explained everything very well. I needed a blown breaker replaced that did not trip over properly. Since the breaker and breaker box were very old (Federal Pacific made) they did not have the part on the truck. I found a breaker from a local mom&pop hardware store the same day. I called the JTL electrician when I found the part and he made sure I got the right part over the phone. JTL came back the very next day and installed the breaker with no extra charge.

This business has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Who runs their business like this?! Run away. Do not use them. You have been warned.

Horrible company! The contractor who came to our home could not speak English and did not know what he was doing. He stayed on the phone with his supervisor the entire time he was at my home and then left a note in Spanish. Our problem was never resolved even though we paid them for the service call.

This is the worst company that I've ever dealt with. Quite honestly, I don't see how they stay in business. I have a home owner's warranty and utilized the company to request an electrical repair. I have never seen any businesses be so elusive. First of all, you can never get anyone to answer the phone. I left multiple messages asking for someone to return my call to no avail. I battled with leaving voice with no response for 2 weeks and finally called my home warranty company and demanded they reassign the repair. This is utterly ridiculous! Please be ware and don't be bothered by the hassle of no response from these people. They need to be put out of business!!!!

I created this Yelp page just to warn people to STAY AWAY if you can. We have home insurance for the condo we live in, and the condo bathroom fans weren't working even before we moved in. So we called our home insurance and (hooray!) it's covered, and JTL is the contractor they use. We put in an order in December before the holidays, and our home insurance told us that they would give us a call to schedule an appointment. No call before Christmas... but that's understandable. It's the holidays. New Year's rolls around, and still no call. Hubbs called our home insurance again and they gave us the contractor's number so we could call directly. We've called several times and left voicemails, and NO response EVER. Now it's been a month and there have still been NO contact from these clowns, so we're going to call our home insurance to try to get a different contractor.
I don't know how these people stay in business or why a home insurance company would choose a contractor so grossly unprofessional, but STAY AWAY!!!!
