we had JT Electric install a new light fixture and repair a defective outlet. the work was doing quickly and the technician kept me informed about the work that was being done

My home warranty company assigned JT Electric to my repair. I was able to contact Dirk at the beginning. He told me he would call me back to give me an appointment. In the next two days he said he could not get hold of my home warranty company for billing issue and asked me to help him. I then called the company on the third day and was able to got hold of the company easily. I tried to call him to let him know but he stopped picking up the phone since. If he did not want to take the job why didn't Dirk tell me at the first place!!! He lied to me, fooled me, wasted my time, and delayed my repair. I will not recommend JT to anybody.

We used JT Electric from a recommendation on social media. We are so glad we did too! They are extremely efficient, courteous & knowledgeable! They explained exactly what they were doing & why. We would HIGHLY recommend them & we'll be hiring them again soon!!

I was looking for an electrician to install some 220V outlets in my house. Dirk scheduled a visit, Chris came over to take measurements and assess the situation, and they provided me with a very reasonable quote.
The day of the actual installation, Chris showed up early and punctual, and within several hours him and Rick had the job done. It wasn't the easiest, because of narrow crawl spaces, etc. Conclusion: Highly professional and clean work. Strongly recommended, and I will definitely call them for any future electrical jobs.

I had an excellent experience with JT Electric today and wanted to share it here. I was drilling in a wall (putting up bookcases) and managed to lose power in three rooms. I couldn't get the circuit breaker to move back to the on position. I did a web search, called several numbers with no response, and then Dirk at JT Electric answered the phone on a Saturday. He explained that it was possible but unlikely that I'd drilled into a wire. He asked me to look at the circuit breakers again. Then he had me take photos of the circuit breakers and send them. We exchanged some texts. And with Dirk's help, I got the lights back on! So I can't recommend the actual service of someone who came to the house, but I'm writing because I was so impressed with how helpful and cordial Dirk was. That means a lot to me and suggests that there would be good communication when I do need the services of an electrician in the future.

JT electric is top notch! I've had electrical issues in the past and have used 4 different electricians over the past few years, all of whom seemed to try and pinch every dollar out of me and often misdiagnosing my electrical issues. After needing to run an outlet to my garage, I called Dirk and he had Nino come out and run the line. They did an excellent job and at a very reasonable price. Since then I also had some wiring issues in the bathroom and Nino again came through. They get the job done, show up on time, and put the customer first. I would highly recommend!

I called and left a message for service with power that was lost in my family room and to our freezer in our garage a few hours later I received a call and they let me know when they would come out I waited all day and finally they came out at 4 in the afternoon
I had left already so my son answered the door. mybsonb explained the issue and the gentleman went to work. The service tech called me a bit later to explain the the garage wire was loose and the family room was our surge protector. He suggested I buy two new ones and I should be well. I thought it odd that two different areas would go out with two differd nth causes but he is the professional so I paid him over the phone and he left
As stooon as I arrived home the power was out again but was plugged directly into the wall. I plugged every thing into the new surge protectors a d nothing worked. I called them back and recid ed a call back the next day. I explained the situation and was to 'll d it would be and emergency fee to come out and an additional service fee to come out on top of the emergency fee
I was then told I would also be charged 150 per hour to diagnose what they missed the first time
I may be a bit foolish for excepting it was my surge protector that cause different areas of the house to go out but enough is enough
Try another electrician and don't use JT electric

It is so nice to be able to give a review because you want to and not because a business says,.... ""hey if you liked my services, can you give me a shout out on Yelp."" And that is exactly what I am doing today. Its also easy to rate services that you go too regularly and write great reviews so that others will get great services too, but for me this business was a shot in the dark. I lost power to my bedroom and had to find an electrician to help. I searched the internet on my phone and saw this company listed, however, I didn't see the reviews written about the business. (which by the way, if I had I would have skipped over and not considered doing business with) Luckily, I placed the call, and was greeted by Dirk, who listened to my needs, and scheduled a next day service appointment at a very early appointment time. His employee showed up on time, was professional and did a thorough job finding my problem. The price was fair, and I could not be happier with this company or their level of service. Sometimes, we have to look past one person's experience and still give companies a chance with a negative review because either it's an isolated incident with that one customer, or the company is so affected by the bad press that they make the changes necessary to become 5 star business. That is, in my opinion what this company is. They were Great. I will continue to use them for future projects and I am so grateful that I wasn't able to see the reviews beforehand or I would have lost out on a really great company to complete my electrical work.

If I could I would gave a half a star, or even a negative star. I hired JT Electric to rewire my entire house, and of course I did my home work to see the size of the job. I gave them a start date and talk with Dirk the owner to have a start date. The start date came and gone and no show of the company or a call. So I called the next day stupid me of course, and Dirk said he would be out the following day between the hours of 10 n 2, and the next day came and it was 1:45 and I heard nothing from the company so I called and talk to Dirk again, finally he answered his call and said he will be there before 5, another stupid me. When Dirk got her he said he was going to upgrade my box to a 220 amp box and do a couple other things I said ok.
Finally, the day has came and they started in the Master Bedroom and they did a good job, Rick was the contractor that was suppose to be on the job the whole time. But what Rick, Dirk and I all understood was when a room would be de-energized that day it would be re-energized the same day so I wasn't out of power. I was able to stay in my residence when work being done.
Dirk ended up pulling Rick from the job site and putting I Neno, and all hell broke loose, I had rooms that had no power over the weekend and had electric shortage. I received my first bill and was charged over the work that was completed to the date of invoice. My bill for the job was broken up so I would pay as they completed per week, so if they only did 1 week worth of work I was charged 2 weeks worth of work.
Also with the billing I bought several things to help bring down the cost, ceiling fans, attic fans, incandescence lights, permits, and some other misc supplies, but of course all of these were on the bill. I was constantly on the phone with Rebecca, or Dirk about the bill and it was no problem.
The next problem, when I purchased the house the previous owners never had the hide away microwave ducking installed, so I had JT Electric install the ducking, and when they where cutting threw the sheet rock and cabinets a lot was damaged, Neno did more damage then making it look nice. Of course I was on the phone with Dirk and showed him pictures of what happen, but the problem was he never showed up to the job site, never once (except to drop of supplies the first day) other else than that never showed up.
Now, here comes the bills of completed work and I said ""no"" you have to fix my ducking for the microwave and I still have to pass inspections. And this is where is went from friendly conversation to hostile over night. Dirk insisted I payed for the bill with out fixing his mistakes. And I am like no, you need to complete work and pass inspections and I will pay remaining balance, take in mind I have already gave this company 23 thousand dollars and only owed 3 thousand.
After several days arguing back and forth for him to come out and fix my cabinets Rick came out saw what Neno did and was appalled in how it was left, Rick fixed it right away, and then I called for inspections, of course I failed, and the inspector gave me a list, Dirk insisted on his money said he was going to take me to court, and I was like go ahead your end of the contract was not completed. Rick came out and fix the items that need to be fix, at this time Dirk was not making sense and not a good person.
Now for all the stuff I went through dealing with this crap I went through the bill with a fine comb and found several problems. I brought them to Dirk and now he was starting to charge me for the Box he upgraded, for the ceiling fans I provided the incandesces light I provided, and more additional bogus charges. I felt I was fair in decreasing the mount I payed, and haven't heard anything since.
In all honesty, I would stay away from Dirk. He is the owner of this company and he has no clue what he is doing. I feel sorry for rick since he is the nice guy of this company.
