I haven't used JSR Electrical and based on the way one of their service vans was driving on Sylvan Avenue this morning I never will. I watched in my rear view mirror as the van weaved through a dozen or so cars to speed through a school zone. Then at the intersection with Irving Blvd. the driver changed lanes abruptly to be the first vehicle, blocking the right turn for a string of cars. Late for a job maybe? No excuse for rude and dangerous driving...

Too expensive - quoted $2,000 to put in a single 14-50 outlet in my garage for my new electric car. Obviously, the tech did not want the job.

JSR is amazing! I had them hang a TV on a stone fireplace and add an electrical outlet for the TV as well. They were able to route the new outlet and hang the TV in an efficient amor and it looks great. Josh Hobdy was phenomenal. He accurately explained everything, quoted fairly and did an amazing job. If you're looking for any electrical work this is an honest, fair and amazing company. I highly recommend and will be coming back for any and all future electrical needs!

Didn't use for our electrical issues due to them being booked for several weeks out. However, they were quick to respond to our quote request. We liked that they were willing to come out for free to do an assessment. Would try to use them again for future electrical repairs just from the experience we've had with them.

Great job, they were a bit booked up so I had to wait awhile but they did a great job. They troubleshooted a major power fault that was constantly tripping the front of our house. They removed a bad external light and they consulted and added additional power plugs in the garage to help us power our Christmas lights this year because the front of our home's power has never been able to handle the load of Christmas lights before- until now! We have a ton now, looks awesome!

JSR Electric Services was professional from the get go. I called there for an estimate after a very bad experience with another electric repair company. The people on the phone were friendly, listened to my LONG story and provided a date they could have an electrician here to provide a free estimate. I received confirmation texts and calls to inform me of the date and time. I then received a reminder prior to the appointment that included the electricians name. Colin called 30 minutes before he arrived to let me know he was on the way. He was on time, professional and friendly. The estimate was a fair price (a bit less than the previous estimate from another company) to repair our attic fans so my husband and I decided to go forward with the suggested repair work. We received five star customer service, we feel confident the repair was done correctly and we saved a bit of money. In addition the work done is covered by a 1 year warranty on materials and labor from the day of installation. We will definitely use JSR Electrical Services again!

I'll preface my two-star review by saying we did have some work done by JSR and were happy with the work and liked the electricians. That said, I wonder if we were charged fairly for the work we had done given the outrageous quote we were given to replace our electrical panel (which we didn't have JSR do).

From all the information we've gathered, replacing an electric panel should be around $3k total, for everything (permit, coordinating with the electric company, etc.) JSR wrote up a quote for $6,662 (we were given this estimate on 3/10/21 then again on 4/27/21). Our first quote for the panel (from an electrician our realtor recommended) was given on 1/7/21 and was for $3,300, inclusive of the panel and a few other smaller items. To be fair, copper prices have been on the rise, but that's still a huge difference.

JSR's quote included things that were made to appear as if they were part of the panel repair that weren't actually necessary, including whole house surge protection, which is always optional. We've asked electricians (who are not bidding on the project) about the quote, and everyone has said it is way too high.

Don't disregard the good reviews on here saying JSR did good work, as I have no reason to question their quality. I just wanted to provide information about their pricing that I wish I'd had from the get-go.

Great work by JSR. They installed an outlet that allows me to run part of the house on a portable generator if the power goes out. Tech took his time and did a very professional job. Would use them again when I need more electrical work.
