When you have an electrical problem, don't go to a handyman. Trust a licensed electrician. John Andrus, owner of JSA Electrical Services, fixed a long-running problem with the power to my Pasadena garage, which caused the garage door opener to fail. It was a thorny problem that had been looked at several times in the past with no resolution. He arrived promptly, and his 40 years of experience as an electrician really showed. It is now finally fixed. (The prior wiring was wrong and delivered a lower voltage than required.)

As I am new to my townhouse, he also checked the electrical panel inside and helped untangle the switching and outlet situation on my patio and upstairs. He knows his stuff! His charge was reasonable, and I recommend him highly. If I ever have another electrical issue, he will be my first and only call.

Can't say enough good things about John and Steve! They came highly recommended by our contractor and it's no surprise why! They stopped by first thing in the morning to inspect our faulty electrical meter/panel and were able to repair it the same day and did a fantastic job! Highly knowledgeable, safety conscious and just all around wonderful to work with! They will be our first call any time we need work, can't recommend enough!

Two days before New Year's, there was a huge rainstorm that caused a giant oak tree to fall on our house. The electric pole on our roof was ripped from its mooring to a 90 degree angle. The wire to the telephone pole remained attached although now the wire was dangerously low to the street. I called JSA Electrical Service for help with the electrical work. On the same day, John came out and provided an estimate for me. On the next day the work was done. I was very impressed with John and his colleague Steve in repairing the hole in our roof and reattaching the utility pole. John also had to get a permit from the city to complete this work. John's honesty, and knowledge in taking care of this matter was very much appreciated. He kept to his original estimate for completing the work which made this whole affair less stressful. I would not hesitate to call him again for any electrical repair work.

I appreciated the quick response from John who was willing to call and text after hours. Steve was able to fit me in and swung by the next day to help me out with our electrical emergency. He showed care for the work being done and did a great job explaining to me what the issues were.

We had a house grounding issue affecting a low voltage coax. Other electricians didn't sound confident to help out but JSA was! Steve was knowledgeable and did a great job explaining things to me. I really appreciated the work they did.

I will definitely call them again should I have issues!

I live in an older house and had issues with an outlet occasionally burning out and shutting power off to a section of the house. I always try to support local businesses so I called and spoke with John who listened to my problem and was able to send Steve within a couple hours. Steve had a good idea of what was wrong and corrected the old wiring in all 8 outlets which were on the same circuit and replaced a burned out outlet in about 2 hours. Price was reasonable and I was happy to pay for high quality work. Will call on them again if needed.

John was very accommodating. Electricity went out in my neighborhood and when it returned, part of my house had no electricity. I called John and he was willing to help me out that same day. He informed me of his hourly rate up front which was reasonable and he showed up as promised. He is an excellent communicator and kept me informed. He completed the repair in timely and profession fashion. I plan on hiring him to replace my breaker and rewire my home. I was very pleased with John.

My contractor recommended JSA to replace a gable fan that broke. John returned my call very quickly. He made a coupe of recommendations on how to replace it and had someone out within a few days. They showed up on time to make the repairs and had an excellent model to replace the fan. They made sure I knew how to operate the fan. They are are the top of my list next time I need work.
