update on my flooring - many pieces have started to lift. I am not a busy salon yet so there is little to no traffic. I tried endlessly to clean our floors & none of these stains come off ( all with vinyl safe products) my floors are lifting my doors are chipping - walls have been chipping off seems like they used only one layer of paint. Vinyl boards are turning a pink hue. This is horrible & very devastating. I put my all into this salon and spent so much money just for jose to tarnish it all & not care about the damage he has caused.

DO NOT HIRE JOSE AND HIS TEAM - UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCOMPETENT!

I started working with Jose in 2023 on a salon project and deeply regret choosing him for the job. From the beginning, he made promises he couldn't keep and consistently displayed unprofessional behavior.

Communication Issues:
Jose often ignored my messages for days, despite his contract stating he would communicate with the architect and city. He recommended an architect who was equally unreliable, submitting incorrect plans and disappearing. When I asked for Jose's assistance per the terms of his contract, he claimed it wasn't his responsibility, contradicting the agreement.

Construction Delays:
After 18 months of stress and setbacks, construction finally began. However, communication remained a struggle. Updates were nonexistent unless I initiated them. Even worse, his team's work was subpar and riddled with errors. I had to address every issue repeatedly, leading to significant delays.

Poor Workmanship:
The quality of work was abysmal:
    *    Door jams were poorly installed with thick, messy caulking.
    *    Painting was amateurish, with drips, uneven coats, and no clean lines.
    *    Random boards were installed without consulting me on the color or design.
    *    Walls were textured despite my specific request for smooth walls.

When I confronted Jose about these issues, he blamed me rather than taking accountability.

Damaged Property:
Jose's team hired an unqualified cleaner who used high-heat steam on my vinyl floors, causing them to warp. Surveillance footage confirmed the damage, but Jose denied responsibility.

Broken Commitments:
After agreeing to fix the damages, Jose showed up unprepared, wasted more of my time, and left my salon in a mess. Dust and dirt were everywhere, and I had to scramble to clean before opening for clients. Despite months of asking for repairs, he continued making excuses and refused to take ownership.

Unprofessional Behavior:
When I finally terminated the contract, Jose refused to refund me for the damages his team caused. Communication became even worse, and he was rude and dismissive, even hanging up on my mother, who called on my behalf.

Final Outcome:
I've been left with damaged floors, shoddy construction, and a salon that doesn't meet my standards. Jose's refusal to take responsibility or address the problems is unacceptable. Avoid the stress, delays, and unprofessionalism--DO NOT HIRE JOSE OR HIS TEAM!

In 2022 there was a leak above the kitchen. Jose installed a new roof for me in 2018, but it now has a leak. I've been trying to text and call him for months with no reply. So I don't think I can recommend him!

UPDATE 2023: Been a huge rainy season in San Bernardino this year. Major leaking so I tried texting and calling Jose. STILL NO REPLY. He is either dead, out of business, or just ignoring me. I had another company come out to inspect. They said this guy had no right to call himself a roofer. Many mistakes made in flashing and valleys. And the entire cap is missing on the top!!

Be careful and get good recommendations from actual customers before you hire someone.

Ok so I moved into my new place a few weeks ago and my new landlord decided not to make any of the upgrades he promised. I had Jose come and inspect the place he spoke to my new landlord explaining what the law required and what needed to be done for my safety... I dont know what I would have done if he wasn't there. He also painted my place and installed all the house fixtures.
