I needed an electrician to remove and replace a Halogen light fixture with an LED light fixture. I tend to be a ""lucky"" person and finding Pete and Jeff with JPS Electrical Solutions was my best move this year! Pete is the leader of this fine firm and was able to get to my little project this morning after I called him yesterday. His assistant, Jeff, was a neat and thorough worker. Pete told me they like to treat their clients like family, and they actually DO. This job took only one hour and the resulting price for the service was exactly what Pete quoted me yesterday. Also, they took care to clean-up the job site and replace my step ladder and dispose of the trash. They really do leave the job site better than they found it. I had an over crowded single gang outlet box with aluminum and copper wires that I requested be converted to a double gang box with 2 outlets. The job: Ground our outlets. Install exterior outlet. Possibly update outlets in the garage to accommodate a fridge.

The response time: Pretty quick using the Yelp project feature.

The experience: Pete and the honorary Uncle Jimmy were super friendly and knowledgeable. I especially appreciated that they prioritized my daughter's bedroom so that she could take her nap on time. Pete was also upfront about which outlets would be feasible based on direct access to the attic and which are used for powering major appliances. This allowed me to make more fiscally responsible decisions in which outlets would be grounded without tearing up half the walls in my house.

The exterior outlet was easy (sorry about the cat poop, Pete). The garage outlets for a fridge was not doable for many reasons and we knew it would be a long shot.

Finally, Pete and Jimmy were really good sports about the job. My daughter's room wound up being more challenging than any of us thought it would be; but they were still very professional.

The value: about what I would expect for electrical work. The pricing seemed very fair.

The unexpected: they didn't patch the holes that were left behind, for the same reason that an oncologist does not perform heart surgery; it's not their skill set. Pete and Jimmy left behind the pieces that had been cut out and offered the contact info of a paint and patch guy. We hired that guy and he is doing an amazing job for a reasonable price.

Overall: we're VERY happy with JPS Electrical and will keep them in mind for future electrical work we may need!

Needed to have ceiling light moved. Hired JPS based on their responses to the yelp request. They showed up early, yeah! and completed the job quickly, also had them replace a bad light switch. Nice courteous techs that knew what they were doing. Will definitely hire them again when I need electrical work
