Company Overview
The journey began with Frank Joyner, who started his professional path as an electrician at Union Camp. Frank had a passion for assisting those in need, particularly with electrical issues. This compassion evolved into a commitment to deliver exceptional electrical services in the Savannah region. After hours at Union Camp, Frank devoted his time to assist friends and family with their electrical needs. In those early years, Frank's wife, Charlotte Joyner, ensured customer satisfaction by handling calls. As demand grew beyond what Frank could manage in the evenings, he decided to leave his job at Union Camp. Their commitment and love laid the foundation for a new venture named Joyner Electric Company.
In 1972, Joyner Electric Company was established, which later evolved into Joyner Electric & Security. In 1975, the company incorporated and saw significant growth. Frank's son, Melvin Joyner, took over the business. For a short time, it was known as JECO Systems, but we now proudly call ourselves Joyner Electric & Security, Inc.
Melvin Joyner serves as the CEO of Joyner Electric & Security. He has been immersed in the electrical industry since childhood, assisting his father. His experience spans everything from digging trenches to creating complex electrical designs. He is now licensed as an unrestricted low voltage and electrical contractor.

Whitney P.Excellent company I will recommend to anyone needing an electrician. I recently moved into a place with one measly cable outlet; I needed two more installed. This required working in the attic in July. I called several companies in Savannah that told me either they did not do that service, or since the appointment had to be very early for the safety of their workers, their soonest availability was too far off than I hoped.
Joyner was able to come out sooner than everyone else could and they worked with my schedule to arrange a 6 AM appointment. They were very good about asking me questions so they knew exactly what I needed. They even asked what color my wall plate was so the others would match. The workers were on time, friendly, and very efficient. They said the cable company might have to come out, but then they worked their magic so I was fully hooked up for cable and internet before they left. This was on the morning of my moving day and made my life a whole lot easier, so I was very happy and grateful. I feel like they went out of their way to help me, but I think they are just that great by default. They did a fantastic job and exceeded my expectations and I will certainly call them next time I need their services.
Luca D.I called their number on a Sunday afternoon and Mr. Melvin answered the phone! We had an electrical fire in the supply panel outside so GA Power had shut out power off and we needed repairs done asap.
He had me take some pics of the panel and text them to his personal cell phone. He was able to have one of his employees procure the parts needed first thing the next morning and Mr. Joyner ordered the inspections and put the order in to have out power turned back on!
And, they had even been out to our house yet!
By being so pro-active and professional, we were able to get our power turned back on by lunchtime the next day, less than 24 hrs later!
I can't thank him enough for his personal attention and concern for our well-being.
I'm already making plans to have them come back out and install a quick connect switch/plug for our generator.
