John himself may be an excellent electrician but the tech that he assigned my install cost me to replace wine room compressor twice $$$ due to prematurely failure caused by tech's negligent improper wiring. The newly installed electrical junction was ""shorting out"" arcing inside as evidenced by burned wire causing wine room compressors to ""hard start"", prematurely ""killing"" compressor. When I showed John photos of arching within junction box he ""blew me off"". Once wiring within junction box corrected, replaced compressor operating normally.

John K. McCraw was a call I made AFTER having another company in my home that overcharged and didn't finish the jobs they started. The big takeaway here is call John K. McCraw FIRST. Not only did they provide me with a quote on the spot (this is how I knew I was taken advantage of by the other company - insert remorse and the wish for immense flexibility to kick my own butt!), McCraw electric came over SAME DAY (in the pouring rain!) to complete two unfinished projects and simultaneously put me back together again. They were on time, good stewards of their time (and my money!), kept my home clean, got things working I was told were ""broken"" and I love that they work as a team - so the work is done fast and efficiently.

My father-in-law purchased a home to relocate from Idaho to Santa Clarita and we hired John for the electrical inspection. He caught EVERYTHING and we were able to ask for a reduction of the home's price based on his expert knowledge of all things electrical and thorough inspection of both the home and pool/spa. After purchasing the home we hired John McCraw Electrical to make all repairs and it was an excellent experience. They're easy to communicate with and very transparent with pricing. They took care of all permits and did a beautiful job installing ceiling fans (a last-minute add on we sprung on them) as well as smoke detectors. We'll hire them in the future for anything electrical. They also went out of their way to find a ridiculously priced lightbulb for a built-in Viking microwave, and they saved us $130 on that alone. A great company full of hard-working and professional people. We're very happy our realtor referred them to us.

We received our CNC Machine and needed to run power. We called John K. McCraw on Friday 12/9/22 to schedule. They arrived on 12/12/22, same day machine arrived, and sent proposal same day too. Price was fair for the quoted work. Due to electricians being so busy, the timing was unexpected. They scheduled 12/27/22 but has an opening on 12/13/22 so they arrived to do a partial install then to finish on 27th, In fact they decided to complete the whole job on the 27th. Working overtime to complete the job. WOW. Very Impressed. Their work ethics are superior. Their efficiencies are impressive. Their professionalism stellar. Left work area tidy. Their work is top notch using all the correct tools and materials. They are my go to for future projects. Need an electrician in the Santa Clarita, Castaic Area, look no further. Called John today because I was baby proofing and wanted a electrician to come check if a cable wire was live (wasn't aware that they weren't) so i could place a cover on it. He assured me it wasn't live and no need to come by, he knew I was nervous so he stayed on the phone with me while I unscrewed/covered it. I'll definitely call for any electrical help in the future. He could have easily rushed me off the phone or even charged me to come check it but the fact that he didn't and waited on the phone was very kind of him.
