I only call companies based on their Yelp reviews so I called John Ayala Electric and I'm glad I did because they were great! I was scrambling to find an electrician handyman and they were so kind and gracious enough to make a quick stop after one of their appointments to come help us. Everyone was so friendly and I can't recommend them enough. They explained everything thoroughly and really showed genuine care regarding the issues we had. They were quick too!

I live in San Diego and I needed some help for my elderly mother in law who lives in DHS. In the middle of the hottest days of the year, her broken portable AC unit caused some electrical problems that blew out her power to some parts of her home. I called and spoke to John, explained the situation and he had an idea what the problem was. Unfortunately he was booked up and said he couldn't make it out to her until Friday. However because he was sympathetic to my mother in law, and how hot it was, he said if something opened up, he would squeeze her in and contact me. Thursday rolls around and he calls with an opening 10 mins out.

Super friendly. Very accommodating. Very understanding to what my mother in law was going through to the point that they did some little jobs for her outside of what they were hired to do--without charging!

My elderly mother in law doesn't trust anyone and these guys made such a difference in how she feels about people because of the generosity and service she received during this service call. This good experience gave us some credibility to trust her family to take care of her. They made her life a little more comfortable and that goes a long way, especially, since all of her family lives miles away.

Don't think twice about hiring these guys. I guarantee you won't regret it and thank you Yelp for the great find!

I bought a used ceiling fan to install in my condo. There had not been any fixture where I wanted to put it previously. I cannot say enough about how impressed I was with John Ayala Electric! They were early, incredibly pleasant to have in my home, made sure everything was done correctly, had everything needed to install the fan and made sure I knew how to work the fan before they left. Rarely do you get all that plus the incredibly neat job they did. You would never know that fan was just installed. Will most definitely use them again as soon as a have a need!
