Unfortunately I must recommend people *avoid* this company if needing a dock electrical inspection as part of the Corps of Engineers dock permitting process. I cannot speak to any of the other services offered.

I needed an electrician to perform the dock electrical inspection and paperwork as required by the Corps of Engineers for a home I'd bought on Lake Hartwell. I contacted JN and scheduled the inspection for February 2nd. Jason Nikkel met me there and provided good advice as to items I needed to repair, and we agreed that he'd proceed with the paperwork once I'd made the repairs -- emailed photos & video showing the completed work on Feb 12th.

Three weeks later, despite several emails (and apologies from the office manager), the paperwork for the Corp was still not completed and I could not obtain any response suggesting when it would be completed. The paperwork consists of a single page seven-item checklist page, and a one-page drawing -- something that should take under 30 minutes to do.

I gave up and contacted a different company to do a completely new inspection. They did the inspection and the next morning I had the paperwork for the Corps.

I'm rating two stars instead of one because Jason did provide good advice for the repairs I needed to perform in order to satisfy the Corps. The second company's inspection noted that everything was in order, and the subsequent visit by the Ranger was successful. My complaint is with the complete lack of follow through and lack of any communication of substance other than the office manager's emails apologizing.

As any home owner knows finding and dealing with home repairs servicers is a real pain! You never know what your going to get. When you find a good one it's time to share so others can benefit from my experience.

We needed work on a gas furnace at our ancestral home in N. Ga. I call two servicers recommended by a neighbor. One never returned my call, the other called and said they would call me back in a couple days to schedule an appointment. Never happened! I Google'd servicers for the area and found JN Elec. Temp. Control. When I called I talked with Jennifer and explained our repair needs. Jennifer quickly responded with "" I can have a technician out this afternoon around 3:30""! I jumped on this, then drove the 60 miles to the house. Around 3:15 Jennifer called me to let me know the tech would be around 30 min. later than scheduled as his current repair was running later than expected. I really appreciated JN keeping me in the time frame loop.

Andrew, the JN tech, arrived at 4pm. He and I quickly discussed my problem, Andrew checked my thermostat, made sure we had gas, then accended under the house. After 30 to 40 minutes Andrew showed me pictures on his iPhone of my furnace problem. Old, many cracks, non-repairable. Andrew shut the gas off for me and scheduled a sales appointment to price a new furnace.

This was a great experience, from the professional courtesy extended by Jennifer to the knowledge and detailed work Andrew performed that helped me make immediate course of action to resolve our heating needs. Well done JN! I will certainly us JN Electrical Temp again.
