James came to install a camera doorbell after quoting a very fair price. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He completed the job within 30 minutes, answered all of our questions, and ensured everything was up and running. I will definitely be calling JMK Residential Electric again. Thank you, James!

Before you contract anyone else you got to at least let JMK Electrical come out and give estimate on the job.. I needed video doorbell installed which took going under the house in the crawl space to troubleshoot, diagnosis and do the wiring, JMK didn't bat an eye, no problem. When is the last time you been in your own crawl space? My point exactly, good luck finding someone to do it at a very reasonable price.

Bottom line, JMK did a great job electrically and cosmetically which is most important to a home owner. Also, James let me know what was going on under the house in the crawl space unrelated to the job he was doing. JMK is my go to electrician going forward and would recommend them to anyone. Like I said if you don't at least let JMK quote the job, your lost and someone else gain, you won't regret it.

So my lights in my home started flickering a few days back. It got worse this morning so I figured get an electrician to check it out. I came to yelp to get some quotes. Got about 5 responses. 4 basically saying call to schedule us to come out. JMKs response was ""have your utility company come check it out"". Turns out it's SMUD's responsibility. So my 5 star review is based on honesty and integrity. They could have easily came out for $185 and took my money and then said sorry we can't help you, this is a SMUD issue. SMUD's election told me he sees that happen a lot and I was lucky to run across this election.
Thanks again! I will definitely be calling with any electrical issues in the future.

I am a disabled man and I had an issue with multiple outlets in my home not working after caregiver blew fuse while using hair dryer. We tried resetting GFI and turning circuit breakers off/on, but no luck. Contacted JMK on YELP and they were very helpful and responsive, first trying to troubleshoot problem and, when that didn't work, they sent out workers. The two workers (sorry, forgot names) found it was just a small issue that didn't require any repair and after checking that circuit and outlets were working properly, they left without charging me anything! Not even their flat service charge fee, even though two workers commuted I estimate an hour to get here and back. I was stunned, having been fine with paying their service fee for their time. But they refused, and even checked back with me the following day to make sure everything was still working properly. Thank you so much. I would highly recommend. :)

Needed a circuit breaker replaced and James was recommended to me by another electrician that wasn't available in the time frame I needed. He responded within minutes of my quote request and was very informative. He was able to come out the next day to complete the job. His price was comparable or identical to other quotes I had received and came in over $100 under another quote I received. Would definitely recommend.

We've had the need for electrical work in our home several times - for a range of reasons - since moving to the Sacramento area five years ago. The previous electricians were competent but none stood out until JMK came around the other day. We love our cats but apparently they mistook some outlets for the litter box :-). James (owner) and his associate were on time, quickly identified the problem and replaced the corroded plugs right away, which had rendered several appliances out of commission. Plus they are super nice guys. We feel we've finally found our go-to electricians. The cats no longer have the upper paw.

Came out to provide a quote for a spa hookup and outlet install. Not only have they not provided a quote after over a week, they can't even tell the difference between Romex and THHN wiring and were giving me bad information.
